Marvel Studios is certainly getting into the Christmas spirit with the long-anticipated debut of the Hawkeye series on Disney+. Marvel fans were excited to see more from the Avengers’ marksman after Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) has been left underutilized in the MCU thus far.

While fans of the archer are quaking with excitement for the latest Marvel show, the first trailer had them hooked with one small detail. When the poster for Rogers: The Musical was spotted in the background there was an instant demand for a real-world Marvel Musical.

Other parts of the trailer for Hawkeye revealed that fans will get to see a snippet of a Broadway show inspired by the life of Captain America/ Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige called composer Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) in to work on the in-universe musical.

And if one scene is not enough for some Marvel fans, Hawkeye’s Renner recently hinted in an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that they can expect more than one scene from Rogers: The Musical in the series.

Fallon asked Renner point blank if there was going to be more than one song and Renner confirmed that at least multiple numbers were filmed saying “I think there are.” And he also dropped the revelation that a Marvel musical could one day come to the real world too:

“Kevin’s mind is really turning on this, he’s the head of Marvel. And I have no idea what he’s going to do with it. There was a lot more of the show in the Hawkeye show, but who knows? I don’t know. I’m not a soothsayer.”

There was a Broadway show based in 2010 called Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. It was featured many acrobatic stunts that injured performers and the music was written by U2’s Bono. It was critically panned. But clearly, the demand is still for an Avengers musical.

If not every number that was filmed makes the cut for Hawkeye, perhaps Disney+ will release them separately, as they did for the Dancing Zemo (David Brühl) scene from Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
