Just thinking about Disney food makes me want to book a trip immediately to the Parks, and being able to add a Disney Dining Plan to my vacation would be the “icing on the cake”.

Walt Disney World has temporarily halted the Disney Dining Plan add-on due to the ongoing pandemic, but now a little button on the Disney website has hinted that this tasty perk may be coming back soon.

Disney Dining Plans are one of the most popular add-on perks to Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages. The Disney Dining Plan allows families to prepay for their sit-down meals, quick service meals, and snacks so they can enjoy their Disney World vacations with less financial stress.

We reported back in June that Disney Parks Blog revealed the Disney Dining Plan will return “at a later date”:

Speaking of Disney Resort hotel stays, we know many of you are also wondering when Disney dining plan packages will return. While we’re not quite ready to share an update on timing, we are planning to bring this guest-favorite option back at a later date.

Of course, this date has yet to be confirmed, and so Disney Guests are still eagerly awaiting the return of this magical Disney perk.

Now, it seems either a glitch or a test on the Disney vacation planning website is hinting at the planned return of Disney Dining Plans:

When you reach the shopping cart page for Walt Disney World vacation packages, there is now an option to “Add Dining”:

Save on dining at over 100 Walt Disney World restaurants – including ones featuring Character Dining and Dinner Shows – when you add the Disney Dining Plan.

Of course, when you click on this button it presents an error, but this addition to the web page gives us hope that Disney is testing things on their technical back-end for a future return of the Disney Dining Plan!

With brand-new restaurant offerings like Space 220 in EPCOT as well as the return post-pandemic of favorites like Boma – Flavors of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we can’t wait to finally get to add-on the Disney Dining Plan again to our Disney World vacation.

At this time, Disney has not announced a specific date for when the Dining Plan would return, but Inside the Magic will update you as we get information.
