Walt Disney World is known for its delicious dining options, character encounters, and iconic snacks that Guests look forward to when visiting the parks, Resorts, and more. If you plan on visiting Disney World this year, there are some changes regarding dining that you might need to know.
The Walt Disney World Resort is home to countless Table-Service options and varies from casual to fine/signature dining. Keep in mind advanced reservations are recommended. Dining Reservations can be made online up to 60 days in advance. Certain Table Services are currently unavailable including Yachtsman Steakhouse, Sebastian’s Bistro, Jiko, and more.

What’s the best way to visit a character without having to stand in long lines? Character Dining is one of the easiest and interactive ways to meet your favorites like Cinderella or Mickey and the gang. Walt Disney World gives Guests the ultimate experience, with delicious food to enjoy while giving your family your own personal character show.
However, due to the ongoing pandemic came many changes that were placed in order to keep health and safety as the number one priority. Character Dining is modified but over time some locations are still offering the experience, such as:
- Topolino’s (located in Disney’s Riviera Resort, with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy)
- Chef Mickey’s (located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald)
- Garden Grill (located in Future World at EPCOT, with Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale)
- Hollywood and Vine (located in Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
Furthermore, it is noted that these four locations will not allow characters to come directly to your table and sign autographs like before, but will pose for pictures in a social distance setting. Check the official website for more updates on character dining.
Mask policies within restaurants
Recently, Walt Disney World Resort has updated its face mask policy. The new policy asks that Guests keep face masks until they are actively eating or drinking. You can read more about this policy here.
At Walt Disney World, you also have the option to go to a quick-service restaurant that offers great food, snacks, and fast service. These restaurants can range from cafeteria-style to counter-service venues. It’s as easy as ordering or taking your food-to-go items, pay, and sit down to enjoy your meal. No reservations are needed.
There are over 150 quick-service options to choose from and are located at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Many Resorts hotels and Disney Springs also offer this convenient option. As of now, some of these restaurants are temporarily unavailable so Check Disney World’s Official website for more information.
