During the press event for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Inside the Magic had the opportunity to interview Mark Renfrow, Show Director of Disney Enchantment, who shared the inside scoop on the best viewing experience for the newest firework show at Magic Kingdom.

“First of all, this is an immersive show. It’s a fireworks show first, so if you love fireworks, you can go anywhere in the Magic Kingdom and appreciate it. If you want to see what’s really new about this, and you want to see these projections literally jump off the castle and eventually work their way down Main Street, U.S.A., for the first time ever, well then you can be on Main Street.

Sometimes it feels in the past if you were all the way close to the train station, it might feel like you’re removed — not anymore. Things literally — characters, sounds, magic — literally leave the castle, come across the Hub, and travel all the way down Main Street. Now, it happens at a specific time, but from that point on, you’re immersed in the magic and in the story. So, anywhere is good, but this is also the kind of show that you can watch multiple times and see things differently depending on where you’re at…come back a few more times and see it different ways!”

The idea of magical elements of this nighttime spectacular leaving Cinderella Castle and traveling down Main Street, U.S.A., sounds completely immersive, new, and exciting. If you have ever seen a firework show at Disneyland Resort, then you are probably familiar with the projection effects that you can see on Sleeping Beauty Castle and the buildings of Main Street, U.S.A., during shows like Mickey’s Mix Magic and Disneyland Forever. Now, for the first time, similar projection effects will be on Main Street at Magic Kingdom during Disney Enchantment. We can’t wait to see!

Of course, many fans hope to see Disney Enchantment more than once. This is a nighttime spectacular that will likely having fans wanting to return again and again to Magic Kingdom, similar to Happily Ever After. We asked Mark for where he would recommend Guests watch the show if they are planning to come back to Walt Disney World multiple times to see it. here’s what he had to say:

“You want to really encapsulate this, you want to feel the magic, you want to see every moment that happens on the castle. So I would say anywhere up front is fine, anywhere is just great. For me personally, as much as I love all the moving projections on Main Street, there’s something about being close to the castle. There’s something about the power of that, for me personally. But I just saw it the other night, a little sneak peek of our new show from all the way down by the train station, and I was thrilled at how exciting it was even that far away.”
