Credit: DisneyWalt Disney World Resort, the Most Magical Place on Earth, has just released more details about the summer Park hours. So, if you are heading to Orlando this summer, what do you need to know?
Keep in mind that theme park hours and operations are subject to change, and Disney makes this very clear on the Walt Disney World website. But going off what has already been revealed, here’s a breakdown of the Disney World theme park hours for this summer and what you should know about Disney World hours if you are planning to visit within the next few months.

Disney Tip: Check Park Hours When Booking Reservations
One of our biggest tips when booking theme park reservations is to check the Park hours before booking. Because theme park hours can vary slightly depending on the day (especially for Disney’s Animal Kingdom), we highly recommend taking a look at theme park hours when booking your Disney Park Pass reservations. When booking a trip, keep your My Disney Experience account open in one tab on your browser, the theme park reservation availability calendar open in another tab, and in a third tab have the Disney theme park hours. It may sound complicated, but trust us, it works!
This way, you can make sure you are booking theme park reservations on a day when the parks you want to visit have the longest hours. This won’t work for everyone who books trips several months or even a year in advance, as Disney only releases park hours a couple of months out. But if you are flexible with your Park days, you are booking only a couple of months in advance, or you are wanting to change your Disney Park Pass reservations within a few weeks of your trip, this tip can be a game-changer.
June Park Hours
To give you an idea of where we’re starting, this week, from June 11 through June 15, the Park hours for all four Disney World theme parks are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: 8: 00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- EPCOT: 11: 00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
June 11 through July 15
The hours above remain relatively consistent, with shortened hours in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a few days toward the end of June (the Park closes at either 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., or 7:00 p.m., depending on the day you visit at the end of June, so keep that in mind when booking your Disney Park Pass reservations).
June 21 through June 25
July Park Hours
When we get to July, we see Magic Kingdom open later  to coincide with the return of the Happily Ever After fireworks.Â
In the beginning of July, the Park hours of operations are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: 9: 00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- EPCOT: 11: 00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
July 1 through July 5, July 6 through July 10
Later in the month, we see shortened hours at EPCOT. Pretty consistently, the Park hours through the end of July are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: 9: 00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- EPCOT: 11: 00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
July 11 through July 15 and beyond
August Park Hours
Now, Walt Disney World Resort theme park hours have been released through August 28. Let’s take a look at the trends for Park hours in August 2021 to give you an idea of how early the Parks will open and how late the Parks will close while you are on your summer vacation at Disney.
Consistently, through the entire month of August (through August 28 so far), the theme park hours are as follows (the difference here is you will see shortened hours at Hollywood Studios in August):
- Magic Kingdom: 9: 00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- EPCOT: 11: 00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
August 1 through August 5
Happily Ever After Fireworks
Walt Disney World is bringing back fireworks this summer! Starting July 1, Guests will once again be able to enjoy nightly fireworks on Disney World property.
As Disney announced, fireworks will resume at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on July 1. Happily Ever After will run nightly at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Forever will run nightly at EPCOT. So, if you are planning to visit this summer, you can look forward to later Park hours as well as fireworks!
Disney After Hours Boo Bash
If you are visiting Disney World this August, remember that Disney After Hours Boo Bash (the Halloween event for 2021) will be held on select nights in Magic Kingdom from August through October. So, if you are heading to the parks in two months, keep in mind that going to Magic Kingdom on a Boo Bash date could mean that the theme park is more crowded in the evening since Guests who purchase Boo Bash tickets will be allowed to enter a few hours before the After Hours event officially begins.
Below are the August dates for Boo Bash at Magic Kingdom, if you want to factor this into your trip planning (whether that means you want to purchase tickets or not!):
