Avengers Campus recently opened at the Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California, last Friday, and fans are already looking ahead for what’s to come next to the Disneyland Resort’s newest land. While Disney keeps a majority of their plans a secret, let’s take a closer look into what could come to Avengers Campus and the hopes we have for the land.

Much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers Campus at the Southern California Disneyland Resort will expand in phases. Phase One of this Marvel-themed land features knockout food items at Pym Test Kitchen, giving Guests the feeling they’re the size of Ant-Man, and Shawarma Palace, where you can fulfill your Captain America and Black Widow dreams of eating delicious shawarma.

When Avengers Campus opened last week, lines were wild, and eager Marvel fans scoured the entire land — spotting clever Easter eggs in WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and near Doctor Strange’s Ancient Sanctum. Everything from a Hulk tree exposed to gamma radiation and graffiti left by Miles Morales, Marvel fans are in for a treat when visiting the land.

The Marvel land offers revolutionary experiences, like the Spider-Man “stuntronic” swinging over Avengers Campus. Still, fans are already looking forward to what’s next for this new part of California Adventure.

Avengers Campus’s E-Ticket Ride

When Avengers Campus was revealed to the world during the 2019 D23 Expo, Marvel fans were given a sneak peek into the land’s flagship E-ticket attraction.

This currently unnamed ride would give Guests the experience of a lifetime on a S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet. Reportedly opening at or near Avengers Headquarters — the Black Panther and Black Widow daytime stunt show area and the building that the Quinjet is parked atop of —  this new attraction will transport Guests to Wakanda on a Quinjet. But, along the way, these recruits will take part in an Avengers-sized fight against a currently undisclosed MCU villain.

The unnamed ride is reportedly set for Phase Two of Avengers Campus — hopefully sometime in the next few years. Disney is keeping this upcoming attraction a massive secret, as no new reports indicate the progress made on this ride. However, early reports suggested that the ride system could be similar to Animal Kingdom’s Flight of Passage or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Much like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge waiting to open Rise of the Resistance after the land’s opening, it’s reported that Disney is saving this E-ticket Avenger-themed attraction for a later date. Disney hasn’t provided any updates regarding the status of the Avengers Campus E-ticket.

More Character Entertainment and Interactions

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanding later this year with Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel fans are undoubtedly going to see more on-screen characters come to life in Avengers Campus. Kevin Feige even confirmed that the land will never be complete and we can expect more to come in the future.

Since this super hero land opened last week, Guests are raving over the near-overwhelming amount of character interactions. From training with the Dora Milaje, Spider-Man flying over buildings, and the Taskmaster taking on Black Panther and Black Widow in an epic stunt show, you can experience the land without going to any attractions.

Looking forward, we hope that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (now the “White Wolf”) could join the land any day, as the Disney+ is still a massive hit, and fans are welcoming Sam Wilson/Captain America with loud applause.

On top of that, we suspect that the Eternals crew could also join Avengers Campus after the film debuts this November.

During the Avengers Campus official opening ceremony on June 2 with Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Marvel Head Kevin Feige, viewers were given a teaser of Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi picking up Shawarma in the new Marvel land, and fans were quick to speculate that his character could be joining Avengers Campus later this year.

Marvel’s newest star (and Avenger?) shared on his Instagram:

Can you believe that they let me tour Avengers Campus and ride the Spider-Man web ride and ALL I HAD TO DO was shoot a 5 second sequence with the shawarma stand??? Unfortunately they didn’t let me eat the shawarma. But I hear it’s good. Go to Avengers Campus! It’s open now!!!

Currently, joining the Guardians of the Galaxy crew are Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Captain Marvel, Thor, Loki, Captain America, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, and Iron Man in his Mark 80 suit.

New Breakfast Options

Guests visiting Disneyland’s Avengers Campus were quick to order all of the food offered at the land, including the massive pretzels found at Pym’s Test Kitchen.

With their food digested, some fans are hoping for more breakfast items to be added to the land’s arsenal of food options.

It’s not every day you get to start your day with Spider-Man, and breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all.

At the moment, Pym’s Test Kitchen offers three breakfast items, but hungry Guests are ready for more.

Nighttime Spectaculars

It may be a stretch to wish for a Fantasmic-like nighttime spectacular at Avengers Campus, but there’s huge potential to feature the Guardians of the Galaxy tower as the backdrop for fireworks at Disney California Adventure.

During the opening ceremony for the land, fireworks exploded over the California Adventure night sky near Tivan’s Tower, with the Quinjet complimenting the skyline.

With the stunt shows already in place at Avengers Campus, we’re hoping for a nighttime Guardians of the Galaxy-themed or Infinity Stones-inspired firework show to be brought to the Marvel land in the future.

There’s so much potential for Avengers Campus, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for this historic land, the first of its kind to open at a Disney Park!
