Credit: Screenshot Via Disney Parks YouTubeDisney’s newest themed land, Avengers Campus, will open on June 4, giving Marvel fans the opportunity to become fully immersed in the worlds of their favorite Marvel superheroes. The land had its official Grand Opening Ceremony on June 2 — the 48th birthday of Marvel President Kevin Feige.
The celebration was complete with fireworks and speeches by not only Disney officials but also Ant-Man star Paul Rudd and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star, Anthony Mackie.
While not all of Marvel’s superhero stars were able to attend the Grand Opening celebration at Disney California Adventure, many were included in a video message that played during the show. Several of them were also able to visit the land ahead of reopening — including Marvel’s newest star Simu Liu, star of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Liu’s visit to Avengers Campus may not have been only just a visit to the new land — it may have hinted at what is to come at Avengers Campus.
Liu did not just make a quick trip to Avengers Campus, he also made a surprise cameo at the end of the Avengers Campus Grand Opening Ceremony — which you can watch (or rewatch) here.
Kevin Feige stated during the Opening Ceremony that, much like Disneyland, Avengers Campus will never be completed. He made it known that, as Marvel Studios releases more films into its Cinematic Universe, more characters and experiences will make their appearance at Avengers Campus.
Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled for release on September 3, 2021, and with Simu Liu making his presence in Avengers Campus known, that could signal that Marvel’s first Asian superhero may soon be making his own stamp on the land.
