It looks like the Disneyland Resort is continuing reopening preparations! We have continued to report on the latest Disneyland news as the southern California Disney theme parks have awaited the green light to reopen. And today, we have an exciting update.
As spotted on the Matterhorn camera positioned at the local Howard Johnson hotel just down the street from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, Disney Cast Members are inspecting the tracks of the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction.
Take a look at the video below. Although blurry, it does show the attraction being inspected.
We have been monitoring the #mattercam since March for any hints about reopening. This is the first time we have seen track inspections on the Matterhorn since closing. Inspections could have happened before. Is this a hint of #disneyland reopening? Movement below "bobsled zoom" pic.twitter.com/Dqxd5MQQil

This is by no means the first time we have seen attraction work being done at Disneyland Resort amid the closure. Recently, we reported on the Pixar Pal-a-Round being tested. We have also seen the lights appear every so often at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! attraction in Disney California Adventure. And of course, there’s those horses that were walking down Main Street, U.S.A.Â
But when exactly is Disney going to reopen the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks? We aren’t too sure. The latest update from the state indicates that Governor Newsom and Disney are “actively” working on plans to continue the phased reopening of Disneyland Resort. So far, only Downtown Disney has reopened, and we continue to wait for more news, even as reservations for the three onsite Disneyland hotels continue to be pushed back.Â
We’ll update Inside the Magic with more information on the latest Disneyland Resort news as soon as we receive it.
