Recently, it was noted that the Disneyland Resort could reopen its theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, in Tier IV of California’s new Tier system which is when risk levels in Orange County are at a minimum and indoor operations are allowed at 50% capacity.
But both Disney Parks, Experiences and Product Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Walt Disney World Resort Vice President of Operations Jim MacPhee have stated that Disneyland is ready to open. In fact, they say that Disneyland has been ready to reopen since July. They are only waiting on the guidelines from Governor Gavin Newsom and the State of California.
As of now, only the shopping and dining center, Downtown Disney District, is open to the public at limited capacity. But hope and anticipation for the reopening has been growing, especially from activity seen from inside Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
