Today is a big day for Disney fans. Why, you ask? Well, because it’s Walt Disney’s birthday, of course!
On December 5, 1901, Walter Elias Disney was born. Disney, who was born in the Hermosa section of Chicago, Illinois ended up spending most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri.
He grew up to be an entrepreneur, animator, voice actor, film producer and so much more.

As a little girl, I idolized Walt Disney. His persistence, his ambition, his dedication. Everything about Walt was empowering and I always wanted to be just like him when I grew up.
And every time I visit Walt Disney World, I make it a point to walk through Walt Disney Presents, ending with watching Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream, even if it’s just once. Because each time I step into that museum, I feel as if I am walking in the footsteps of Walt, himself.

If you are visiting and are looking for the perfect way to celebrate Walt Disney’s birthday, make sure to stop by Walt Disney Presents and Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Walt Disney Presents

Walt Disney Presents is a gallery exhibit and self-guided tour through the history of Walt Disney himself. You’ll be able to learn about the man behind the mouse and see one-of-a-kind sketches, unique photos, original models, costumes, artwork and more!
Walt Disney Presents originally opened to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Walt’s birthday. Today, the exhibit shows Walt’s life story, from his small-town all the way to Hollywood.

Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream

After you walk through the exhibit, be sure to check out Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream. This 15-minute documentary takes guests even further into the life of Walt Disney as it showcases the life and times of the entrepreneur and animator.
Walt Disney:Â One Man’s Dream also includes rare audio recordings, historical footage and home movies! Though it brings you into the happy times of Walt’s life, it also shows off the tough times and how Walt turned his dreams into reality.

Sometimes, this documentary isn’t showing as Disney tends to give guests a sneak peek if a new Disney film is coming out soon. For example, Disney is known to replace Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream with clips of upcoming films like The Lion King live-action remake or Toy Story 4. So, be sure to check out which video is playing during your visit.
