Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to this fall. Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters in December, just before Christmas, and two brand-new Star Wars series, The Mandalorian and Kenobi and The Mandalorian will debut on Disney+ on November 12.

But details about the number of episodes in The Mandalorian series have been scarce, and fans have also been left to wonder how frequent new episodes will debut on Disney’s new streaming service.
But Disney has revealed several details about the new bounty hunter-themed Mandalorian series created by director Jon Favreau that include the number of episodes Star Wars fans can expect, as well as the day of the week on which the newest episode will drop on Disney+.

We have learned that new episodes of The Mandalorian will premiere every Friday, with the exception of the first episode, which will air the same day that the new streaming service goes live, which is Tuesday, November 12. That Friday, November 15, will begin the weekly schedule of new episodes. Also important to note is that Star Wars fans can look forward to 8 different episodes of The Mandalorian in its inaugural season.

Episodes three through eight will debut as follows:
- Â Episode 3 – November 22
- Â Episode 4 – November 29
- Â Episode 5 – December 6
- Â Episode 6 – December 13
- Â Episode 7 – December 18
- Â Episode 8 – December 27
Other Star Wars content coming to Disney+ includes an original series called Kenobi, starring Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, though Disney hasn’t yet announced a release date for that series. Fans of the Star Wars saga will also get to catch the latest episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Disney+.
Disney and Lucasfilm come together in The Mandalorian series that tells the story of another warrior who emerges after Jango Fett and Boba Fett, as fans discovered in the trailer that was released during the D23 Expo in August. The Mandalorian series is not part of the original trilogy, but it fits within the Star Wars story very well. The story of the bounty hunter is set after the Empire falls, but before the First Order emerges. The lone gunfighter–the Mandalorian–isn’t bound by the authority of the New Republic, as his bounty hunting takes him into the furthest reaches of the galaxy.
The Mandalorian will differ from other star wars movies and animated series like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but the same quality of content and cohesiveness with the Star Wars tales will be in the storyline of this series.
The new series stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers, Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Ming-Na Wen (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.I.E.L.D.) and Taika Waititi, among others, and was created by Jon Favreau (The Lion King). Pedro Pascal plays the nameless character of the Mandalorian.
