A recent guest report from Disneyland Paris has raised eyebrows and sparked conversations about cleanliness and guest behavior at the park. The incident, shared by a visitor on social media, describes a troubling scene near one of the park’s most iconic landmarks—the Dragon’s Lair at the entrance to Sleeping Beauty Castle.

According to the report, two children, estimated to be between 6 and 10 years old, were seen urinating in the bushes near the castle, a popular area frequented by visitors.

To make matters worse, the children’s mothers were allegedly present, standing nearby and laughing as their children relieved themselves against the wall of the castle entrance. The guest expressed their dismay, writing:

We literally saw two kids, ages 6-10 something, peeing in the bushes next to the castle dragon entrance. The moms laughing while they stood up the side peeing against the wall.

When the toilets next to the agrabah buffet are 5 min away basically, disneyland paris is not as magic anymore as it used to be.”

The incident, while seemingly isolated, has sparked a broader conversation about the expectations surrounding guest behavior and cleanliness at one of the world’s most beloved theme parks. Disneyland Paris, like its American counterparts, prides itself on maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere with high standards of cleanliness and guest services.

However, incidents like these raise questions about whether those standards are being upheld and whether there are enough resources or signage to encourage appropriate behavior, particularly in high-traffic areas.

A Growing Concern for Cleanliness

Disneyland Paris, known for its immersive theming and enchanting experiences, has long been a place where families come to enjoy the magic of Disney. Cleanliness and convenience are key aspects of the park’s guest experience, with bathrooms strategically placed throughout the park.

However, for some guests, the situation near the Agrabah Buffet, where restrooms are reportedly located about five minutes away from the Dragon’s Lair, may feel like an inconvenience.

This scenario could prompt concerns about the availability and accessibility of restroom facilities in certain areas of the park. As guests make their way through long lines or navigate crowded walkways, the urgency of a bathroom break can be overwhelming, particularly for families with young children.

While Disney has always made efforts to ensure clean and accessible facilities, this incident underscores the need for further consideration regarding restroom placements and the potential for guest discomfort during their visit.

The Role of Park Security and Cast Members

Disneyland Paris, like all Disney parks, has cast members who are trained to handle a wide range of situations, from assisting lost guests to maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The report has sparked questions about the role of park staff in monitoring areas with heavy foot traffic, ensuring that guests understand and follow appropriate behavior, especially in more secluded areas.

While incidents of public urination may be rare, they do highlight the importance of vigilant staff presence and clear signage encouraging guests to respect the park’s environment.

Disneyland Paris and other Disney parks around the world work hard to maintain a magical atmosphere, and this incident has drawn attention to the need for continuous improvements in guest experience management.

The Magic of Disneyland Paris

Despite this incident, Disneyland Paris continues to be a popular destination for families from all over the world. With its immersive attractions, enchanting parades, and beloved Disney characters, the park offers a unique experience that continues to capture the hearts of visitors.

However, the recent report serves as a reminder that maintaining the magic of Disneyland goes beyond just creating captivating experiences—it also involves upholding a high standard of guest etiquette and ensuring that all visitors feel comfortable and respected throughout their stay.

While Disneyland Paris remains a beacon of enchantment and joy for many, this incident serves as an important reminder that even the most magical places are not immune to the challenges of managing large crowds and maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all.
