Tiana’s Joyful Celebration: A Journey into New Orleans

Starting March 7, 2026, “Tiana’s Joyful Celebration” will open at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, marking the beginning of a nationwide tour. The exhibition is designed to transport visitors into the heart of New Orleans, where they will explore interactive, multi-sensory experiences inspired by the music, food, and vibrant culture of the city. The celebration kicks off with Tiana preparing for a grand parade in her childhood neighborhood, with the entire community and Tiana’s animal friends working together to make it an unforgettable event.

In a bid to add a personal touch, guests will play an active role in helping Tiana’s preparations. From assisting with decorations to contributing to the music, costumes, and food, visitors will be encouraged to pitch in, bringing their own “special spice” to the celebration. The exhibition aims to highlight the importance of teamwork, creativity, and community- values central to Tiana’s journey.

A Nationwide Tour to Follow

After its debut in Indianapolis, the exhibition will embark on a nationwide tour in 2027, with stops in 12 additional cities across the United States. The traveling nature of the exhibit allows for a broader audience to experience the magic and culture of Princess Tiana’s world, making it accessible to families and Disney fans everywhere.

The “Tiana’s Joyful Celebration” exhibit ties into the broader narrative of Princess Tiana’s presence in Disney theme parks, following the launch of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in 2025. This new exhibition serves as a complementary experience to the attraction, reinforcing the themes of community, creativity, and cultural celebration that are central to the character of Princess Tiana.

Celebrating Culture Through Collaboration

The collaboration between WDI and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis aims to celebrate the diverse and rich cultural heritage of New Orleans, while also engaging visitors in the creative process. By combining Disney’s storytelling with educational elements, the exhibition strives to create a meaningful experience that both entertains and informs.

Tiana’s Joyful Celebration” offers an exciting opportunity for families to connect with the magic of Disney in a new, interactive way. It also serves as a platform for cultural appreciation, highlighting the music, food, and traditions of New Orleans in a fun and engaging environment.
