Guest behavior continues on the decline at Disneyland Resort, with guests reporting a shameless heist at Walt Disney’s original theme park.
It’s no secret that while Disneyland Resort is the Happiest Place on Earth, guests tend to cause unpleasant scenes at the park with their unruly behavior, a trend that has spread nationwide.
Unfortunately, some parkgoers have turned Disneyland into their unruly playground, shamelessly hoarding limited-edition merchandise and transforming the latest releases into cash cows.

Disneyland Resort recently launched an exclusive popcorn bucket inspired by one of the most popular Disney characters of the last decades, donning a frightfully fun Halloween costume for the season.
We’re talking about the Vampire Stitch Bucket, which officially launched on September 12 at select locations across Disneyland Resort and will soon be available on the Disney Cruise Line.

Disney also released a new Halloween Alien Sipper, with the adorable green alien from the Toy Story franchise fashioning a space ranger outfit just like Buzz Lightyear.
Sadly, the extreme popularity of these items recently triggered an embarrassing scene at Disney California Adventure.

Redditor u/RunzWithSzrz recently posted a photo of a guest walking around Cars Land in Disney California Adventure with over 10 collectible Halloween popcorn buckets and sippers, exclusively available at Disneyland Resort for a limited time. “Insane,” the user captioned the image.
The Redditor commented, “I just don’t get it. This, along with other individuals having legit BAGS of 10+ popcorn buckets, is the re-seller market for these this lucrative?”

The sight quickly stirred debate among netizens, who criticized this behavior in disbelief. Redditor u/IllustriousComplex6 commented, “It just kills me that they can be so bold about it.” u/SnuggleBear2 added, “You would think at some point Disney would make them 1 or 2 per customer. But they just seem to not care as well.”
Redditor u/Felatio_Sanz joined the conversation by commenting, “If you want to feel better about this behavior go on eBay and look at all the figment popcorn buckets that haven’t sold and will never sell until they’re cheaper than retail. Hope all that time in line to hoard these was worth it dummy.”

Several users urged Disneyland to take action to restrict the sales of these limited-edition items.
Redditor u/forlorn_hope28 commented, “They should really scan people’s tickets and set the limit as 2 per ticket/pass. That way if you get back in line or come back the next day, your ticket would show you’ve already bought your allocation. Truth be told, Disney doesn’t care. They’d rather sell all inventory, than have extra leftover.”
User u/jish5 joined the conversation by commenting, “People, please stop buying from these a-holes. Make them suffer for wasting money on these while screwing fans over. Hell, why doesn’t Disney tackle this by offering the buckets online on their official website? That’ll outright ruin scalpers and make it far less likely for them to pull this crap.”

While these exclusive collectible items launched this week and will surely be available for guests to purchase throughout the Halloween season at Disneyland, this heist and the possibility of this unacceptable trend continuing at the parks could leave thousands of guests empty-handed.
Sadly, Disneyland officials have not revealed plans to prevent resellers from purchasing ridiculous amounts of merchandise at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Sadly, scenes similar to the one pictured above are common at Disney Parks Worldwide. Disneyland Resort has been the stage for multiple incidents, with guests capturing resellers carrying bags of exclusive merchandise around the park and some of them escalating the situation violently when confronted by cast members.
Walt Disney World Resort has also seen resellers hoarding limited-edition collectible items, leaving guests puzzled at the sight. Shanghai Disney Resort and Disneyland Paris have also seen reports of this unacceptable practice.
Additionally, Inside the Magic has reported on guests going to extreme lengths to get their hands on exclusive merchandise at Tokyo Disney Resort, using fake babies to purchase additional items.

Some Disney resellers use Annual Pass, Disney Visa, and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) discounts to maximize profit on scalped merchandise further. This is strictly prohibited, and Annual Passholders have been banned from Disney Parks for breaking reselling rules.
“Such benefits and discounts are for personal use only and may not be used for any commercial purpose or for the benefit of others, including, without limitation, to obtain or purchase items or services with the intent to resell such items or services, or to share benefits with persons who are not the Passholder,” the Disney Annual Pass Terms & Conditions state.
