A Disney World Resort Hotel recently became the scene of an alarming incident after a child was reportedly pulled unresponsive by cast members.
Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is perhaps the most magical (and convenient) way to enhance any guest’s Disney vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

All Disney Resort Hotels offer additional perks, such as free transportation to and from Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney Springs, early theme park entry, convenient dining and shopping locations, themed rooms, exceptional service, and more.
Sadly, a visit to Fort Wilderness recently turned into an alarming experience for dozens of guests after a child was reportedly rescued from the Disney Resort Hotel’s pool unresponsive.

Redditor u/er1026 recently posted on the Disney World Subreddit, asking netizens if anyone knew if the child who had been pulled unresponsive from the Fort Wilderness pool was ok. “So worried about this poor child.” the original poster added.
“All I know is that in another sub, a woman was in the hot tub with the mother of the child and the child was pulled from the pool unresponsive,” the original poster added. “I pray they are ok. Parents, please keep an eye on your children at the pool. This can happen in a second.”

Redditor u/SeriousStrokes69 responded to the post, commenting, “He was transported to the hospital and is indeed doing ok (thanks to the quick action of the lifeguard on duty there).”
Netizens were relieved after learning the news and applauded the dedication and quick response from Disney World lifeguards and cast members.
Redditor u/seacreaturestuff commented, “I’ve never seen a lifeguard at the resort pools that wasn’t diligent and highly attentive. So good to hear the little one was okay.”
U/Gwendylol added, “The most intense lifeguards I have ever seen were at Disney. Literally pacing back and forth, eyes peeled on the pool. Really nice to see.”

Redditor u/makibear20 joined the conversation and commented, “The lifeguards at Disney are truly exceptional – I have watched them carefully on various visits are they are most the vigilant lifeguards I have ever seen at public pools and beaches – but even the most outstanding lifeguards cannot have eyes on every child at once.” They added, “Thoughts with the family and thank goodness it seems like the child will recover.”
User u/somissmatched vouched for the exceptional training and dedication of Disney World and Disneyland lifeguards, sharing their personal experiences. “I was a former Disney lifeguard. We had such strict training, and they’d surprise test us all the time. It’s made me watch other lifeguards now (14 years later) at other pools and think how bad they’re trained.”
Fortunately, no significant injuries were reported following the incident, and according to Redditors, the child was safe thanks to Disney World lifeguards’ swift response.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time a swimming incident has triggered an overwhelming response at Walt Disney World Resort. Earlier this year, Inside the Magic reported on a guest recklessly swimming in a Magic Kingdom river, shocking parkgoers witnessing the unusual scene.
TikTok account @_disney._stuff_ shared a video of the scene, which you can see below or by clicking here.

It’s unknown how or why the guest ended up in the water. While cast members cannot be seen in the video, Tillitt explained to viewers that a few employees eventually took hold of the situation.

This is certainly one of the most outlawed and dangerous activities to engage in at Walt Disney World Resort, as not only are there electrical and mechanical structures in the water, but also snakes, alligators, and other types of wild animals.
