Last week, Bluey was slapped with a wave of backlash after many fans in the US and global audiences felt shortchanged by the first seven episodes of the new miniseries on Disney+ and Disney Junior. However, one colossal detail might have been completely overlooked in the aftermath.

A colorful collage features characters from the animated show "Bluey." Central text reads "Bluey Minisodes" with "Mini" in red. Characters include Bluey, a blue dog; Bingo, a brown one; and others like a gray dog and a colorful owl. Pastel backgrounds set the scene for these Disney+ mini adventures.

They’re called minisodes for a reason, and while they’re not what fans are used to, even a bit of Bluey is better than none at all. That said, it seems like the fanbase is so blinded by what pieces were missing that they were blinded by what’s on the way, specifically season 4.

Inside, the Magic recently covered a development behind Bluey, which led to an outpour of upset fans. After influencers Aussie Girl Margie and Pugly did an in-depth dive in the footage below, much was said about the show’s future.

Behind the Bluey Blunder

The show’s future has been in negotiations for some time now, and even Bluey creator Joe Brumm has expressed interest in expanding the series. Adding this fact led many to believe that the miniseries is simply a distraction from the main event.

In the video above, Aussie Girl Margie points out that the minisodes are simply designed to tide fans over until the next big Bluey thing. While she lists out the Rug Island album from series composer Geoff Bush, and then both a Halloween and Christmas special, Pugly expands further on those holiday specials, as well as season four in his coverage (found here), and there’s definitely a noticeable pattern with the show’s releases.

Not sure how true/official this is…..

In Pugly’s coverage, he shares the post above from a reportedly accurate leak on Bluey’s subreddit. While we cannot confirm or deny the post’s accuracy, it coincides with what the previous developments predict.

For Real Life?

At the end of the day, this is still all pure speculation until Ludo Studios makes its newest Bluey announcement. Even so, it wouldn’t be the first time a leak on social media proved to be valid.

One thing that can be absolutely said for sure is that the minisodes, album releases, and anything else that drops between now and the inevitable fourth season will be utilized to build hype for bigger and better Bluey. Of course, that’s always been the studio’s endgame.

It was confirmed long ago that Ludo was far from finished with the series. While the producers and creative team are still on their hiatus, avid viewers won’t be left empty-handed by any means. Good things come to those who wait.
