A young child was forcefully removed after upsetting guests and shocking cast members at a Disney Park.

Metting your favorite Disney characters when visiting Disney Parks worldwide is an emotional experience for the young and the young at heart.

With Disney Parks worldwide developing breathtaking expansions and opening new immersive areas, the possibility of meeting even more characters is constantly growing.

Unfortunately, a young girl’s reckless actions caused a polarizing scene at Shanghai Disney Resort, with the guest being forcefully removed by a cast member.

Instagram user @themepark101yt recently posted a video showing a young girl running toward Judy Hopps from the 2016 Disney movie Zootopia during a parade reportedly at Shanghai Disney Resort.

While the young guest’s intentions were innocent, as she was undoubtedly excited to see one of her favorite Disney characters, running into the moving parade was reckless, as she could’ve caused severe injuries to herself, other guests, and the performers of the Disney parade.

Fortunately, the quick reaction of a cast member prevented any accidents. In the video, the cast member swiftly picked the child up and carried her out of the parade route.

While the cast member’s swift action was necessary in this unexpected scene, many viewers criticized how they handled the incident.

“This is fully against cast member protocol. You can never pick up a child, weather you are a character performer or not, applies to all cast members,” one user commented.

Another viewer added, “The US parks would never let a cast member carry a child, but yeah. I see children are stupid no matter where they are.”

One viewer provided thoughtful insight into how Disney Parks in Asia, including Shanghai Disney Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland, differ from theme parks in the United States.

Part of their comment reads: “The crowd is unmanageable. Jumping queue and fights are so normal that they would put security guards at EACH ride. Many kids are out of control and some of these behaviors are encouraged by their parents.”

Speaking of meeting new characters, Shanghai Disneyland recently welcomed an all-new live musical called The Adventure of Rhythm, featuring new characters from some of Disney’s most beloved and underrated movies.

The Adventure of Rhythm, presented at the Storyhouse Stage in Adventure Isle, will perform from June 3 through October 2024 (except for special events). Thanks to its one-of-a-kind construction, the live show promises a unique experience for all guests each time they see it.

Sadly, this is not the first time children have interrupted a Disney Parade, endangering themselves and others.

Inside the Magic reported on a child nearly tackling Minnie Mouse during a parade at Disneyland Park. His reckless behavior almost ruined the parade and, most importantly, endangered himself, several Disney characters, and other guests.

At Disneyland Paris, several cast members had to chase a child around a parade float that had to be stopped immediately to prevent an unpleasant incident. Adults have also carelessly interfered with parades at the Parisian Disney Resort, forcing immediate action.

With Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, the Disney Princesses, and many other Disney characters garnering fame worldwide, it’s easy for businesses to use the image of Disney’s iconic mouse and other icons, trying to replicate Walt Disney’s success.

Elsa from the 2013 Disney movie Frozen was featured in a parade at the Nice Carnival in France earlier this year. Sadly, performers had to deal with a similar incident after a girl ran into Elsa’s arms, putting herself at risk.
