We’ve seen quite a lot of things unfold at the Disney parks and resorts, especially the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. While this massive theme park destination has made a name for itself with an impressive collection of classic rides as well as thrilling and modern attractions, guest behavior has and will always be a problem. Unfortunately, it seems like guests are having a harder and harder time behaving themselves while inside “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” with recent events shocking even the most hardcore veteran Disney park fans.

Just recently, we saw a man do one of the most shocking things we’ve ever seen at Walt Disney World, taking a leap of faith off of a bridge at EPCOT.

In September, however, we were left truly stunned, not by the actions of a guest but of a wild animal after a bear was reportedly seen walking around the Magic Kingdom. As we continued to monitor the situation, it was eventually confirmed that a wild bear was in fact, seen strolling through the Magic Kingdom, especially in the Frontierland section of the park. Frontierland is an area that houses attractions like the Frontierland Shootin Arcade, The Country Bear Jamboree and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Frontierland also used to feature Splash Mountain up until early 2023, when the ride closed permanently.

As a result of this incident, around ten different rides and attractions were forced to temporarily close as authorities attempted to capture the bear. Spotting a wild bird, lizard, or snake is a fairly common occurrence at the Walt Disney World, with the entire resort basically being swamp land.

As we stated, several iconic rides had to close during this wild bear outbreak, such as Pirates of the Caribbean. Other popular rides and attractions like Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train all remained open, receiving an influx of guests due to the cut-off portion of Magic Kingdom.

The bear was identified as being a black bear and was carefully tracked by local authorities and wildlife experts. Eventually, the bear was captured and removed from the park. Up until now, we had not been given an up close look at this daring mission. However, some recent footage from Click Orlando has been revealed, which you can take a look at below.

We can honestly see that this is one of the most shocking incidents to occur at Walt Disney World in a long time and will keep us talking for many, many years.

What do you think about this story? Were you at Disney World the day the bear broke in?
