Disney Makes MAJOR “Faux Pas” With Latest Shirt

The grand opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort was not without hiccups. In a moment that later went viral on Twitter, the Disney PR team accidentally allowed a TRON (1982) actress to wear a shirt promoting cryptocurrency instead of the film and upcoming rollercoaster. Since the ride opened, Guests have reported struggles with its virtual queue and deceptively long wait times.

On Tuesday, Disney Parks fans gathered on Reddit post mocking a shirt in the TRON Lightcycle / Run Gift Shop. u/whitepikmin11 shared a photo of the Disney shirt, calling it “certainly a choice:”

“I’m confused,” read the most popular comment from u/CryptographerShot213. “Is some kind of misunderstanding like one of those cakes where the customer writes instructions for the baker like Happy Birthday in all caps and the cake they receive says ‘Happy Birthday In All Caps’?”

In-the-know fans were quick to explain that this Disney shirt isn’t for sale; instead, it’s a sample size for Guests ordering customized TRON Lightcycle / Run shirts. “Custom print / ability to see short before dropping $$ on the wrong size,” as u/chris84bond put it.

Even so, that didn’t stop fans from poking fun at the objectively odd item. u/Squibit314 called it a “retail faux pas.”

“For all the girlies who can’t fit on the bike – this one’s for y’all 😘 (me, a girlie who can’t fit on the bike),” u/Firstresult1 wrote.
