Walt Disney World and the Disney Parks, in general, are amazing places to have fun and explore, but they also act as a sort of “time capsule,” a look back into the past.
If you find yourself at Disney”s EPCOT Park, head over to this spot for a trip down memory lane. TikTok user Kirk (@walruscarp), while visiting The Seas pavilion noticed an ancient relic of our past: an actual working payphone!
The comments on the post were hilarious, with users expressing their surprise as well as poking fun at this amazing find. TikTok user @dhopper42 asked:
“What’s it charging for a local nowadawys lol?”
User @crispy_bacon04 asked:
“What is this ancient relic?”

While funny, it is nice that Disney offers Guests the option to make a call in case they do not have their own cell phone. We just couldn’t believe a working payphone still existed in the real world, let alone in Walt Disney World! The official description for The Seas at EPCOT is stated by Disney:
Board a “clamobile” and descend slowly below the waves, where Nemo’s friends flit through brightly colored coral reefs and gently swaying anemones. Dodge stinging jellyfish, underwater mines, a toothy anglerfish and an even toothier Bruce the shark.
Catch a ride on the righteous East Australian Current with Crush the sea turtle and his little dude, Squirt. But where’s Nemo?
Just keep swimming til you find him!
