Amidst months of fan outcry, the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has reportedly leaked online. Don’t worry we won’t be sharing any specific details regarding the trailer here!
The third outing in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise is set to release this December in movie theaters. Sony’s and Marvel Studio’s team-up superhero movies have been fan-favorites of Marvel fans ever since Holland’s Peter Parker showed up in Captain America: Civil War (2016). The Avenger’s first solo feature debuted a year later when Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) was released. Since then, the MCU Spider-Man fandom has continued to grow with films like Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and appearances in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Holland, along with other returning cast members Zendaya (MJ), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), and Marisa Tomei (May Parker), will star in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Joining them will be a huge roster of characters from both Marvel’s and Sony’s back catalog. Benedict Cumberbatch will appear as Doctor Strange ahead of his sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), as will Alfred Molina (Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus) and Jamie Foxx (Max Dillon/Electro) from Sony’s previous Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man 2 (2004) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), respectively.
The hype for the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise has been building ever since JK Simmons’ appearance as J. Jonah Jameson in the post-credits sequence of Spider-Man: Far From Home. As months have gone by, rumors have swirled with signs pointing to previous Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) and Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man) reprising their roles. Garfield has rebutted these claims while Maguire has remained silent on the matter.
In addition, characters like Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil and Willem Dafoe’s Norman Osborn AKA Green Goblin have also been said to appear alongside Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) protégé in the upcoming film. For all the rumors thus far, click here!
Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer leaked?
Ahead of its rumored reveal at CinemaCon on August 23, the trailer footage for the Marvel movie leaked online. It has not been confirmed to be legitimate but Sony and Disney have reportedly put in extreme efforts to shut it down and stop it from making the rounds on places like Twitter and TikTok. The film, at the time of publishing, is still trending on Twitter with fans freaking out over this piece of media they have waited so long for.
Oh, and Tom Holland has also weighed in on the suspected leak.
The trailer leak came in the form of a very low-quality, blurred video but fans have spotted contents that line up with what has been allegedly set to occur in the film for quite some time.
Alex M. (@WandasTiara) alluded to just how bad the trailer’s quality was.

Holland took to his Instagram story shortly after the news of the trailer leaked broke, sharing a cryptic response.
YOU AIN’T READY!
Only time will tell if the official trailer will debut at CinemaCon on August 23, but all signs do seem to point to this date being when fans will finally get what they have been waiting for.
As for the story of Spider-Man: No Way Home, not much is known although there are theories over how events will play out. With Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange appearing ahead of his Multiversal feature film and following major Timeline issues in Loki and now What If…?, it seems likely that the third Spidey adventure could include big threats to the Marvel Universe and the Multiverse as we know it.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is likely to be Holland’s last outing as Peter Parker, and the character has recently been recast for Marvel’s latest project.
