Recently, we reported that Mulan was beginning to greet Disney Guests at a safe social distance in the China pavilion in World Showcase of EPCOT as well as fan-favorite Disney Princess, Jasmine, in the Morocco pavilion.
Princess Aurora has also returned to the France pavilion and Snow White to the Germany pavilion for socially distanced meet and greets.
Now, it seems that the theme park may be gearing up for another Disney character meet and greet in World Showcase.
A permit was recently filed for 1478 Avenue of the Stars, which is the location for the EPCOT meet and greet gazebo in World Showcase. The permit is to provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction. Though there are not many other details provided on the permit, we do know the contractor listed is Buena Vista Construction Company, a company Disney tends to use for many projects on Walt Disney World property.
Prior to the ongoing pandemic, Guests could find characters including Minnie, Daisy, and Pluto at the gazebo near the International Gateway, as seen in the Tweet below. So it is possible we could see some of these Disney characters return to the gazebo for socially distanced meet and greets.

It is important to note that at this time, we do not know exactly what this permit was filed for, but it is clear that Disney is gearing up for some sort of construction work on the gazebo in World Showcase. Inside the Magic will update you as we get more information.
In the meantime, Guests can spot Winnie the Pooh catching butterflies in the grass near World Showcase, as well as Joy from Inside Out, who tends to frolic along the same grass. And at the front of the theme park, Mickey and Minnie are posing with Guests for a socially distanced selfie.
