Dinsey announced that Halloween will be in full swing at the Disneyland Resort this year. Oogie Boogie Bash will be returning to Disney California Adventure, and Disneyland will see the return of Haloween Screams.
Unfortunately, we did notice that one special offering will not be returning to Oogie Boogie Bash this year.
For the previous Oogie Boogie Bash event fans got a special version of the extremely popular nighttime spectacular, World of Color. This version of the show had some spooky additions, including a brand new character.
Oogie Boogie Bash this time around will not offer World of Color as a part of the evening’s entertainment.
At this time, Disney has not publicly shared why World of Color will not be offered at the event, but keep in mind that this nighttime spectacular has not yet returned to Disney California Adventure since the Park reopened on April 30. It appears that maintenance for the show is ongoing and we will report back when Disney shares a return date for the World of Color nighttime show.

Although Oogie Boogie Bash will be lacking World of Color, the event is still set up to be a great time — definitely worth the ticket price if you love Halloween. But, if nighttime spectaculars are particularly important to you and your party you can head over to Disneyland for Halloween Screams.
And every night from Sept. 3 – Oct. 31, in Walt Disney’s original park, guests will enjoy a dreadfully delightful treat in the form of “Halloween Screams”, a supernatural projection and special effects show. On weekend nights, “Halloween Screams” also will take to the skies and enhance the mischief with fireworks.* Guests will be able to view the spectacular from several different locations throughout the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and near “it’s a small world.”
It is great to see more offerings return to the Disneyland Resort after it suffered a 15-month closure. Fans like us have been excitedly waiting for information on what Halloween would hold at Disneyland after Disney World canceled Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween party.
If you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World for the Halloween season, you can enjoy the all-new Disney After Hours Boo Bash event.
