We have some great news for all of the Halloween fans! After not being able to host Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic, Walt Disney World Resort has announced that, instead, a brand-new Disney After Hours event will be debuting at Magic Kingdom in 2021 called Disney After Hours BOO BASH!

In 2020, Walt Disney World Resort had to make the decision to cancel Disney After Hours and ticketed events that had been planned for 2020, including the Magic Kingdom events Villains After HoursMickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the ever-popular Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. These decisions were made as part of Disney World’s phased reopening process in order to keep both Guests and Cast Members as safe as possible as the theme parks operate during the ongoing pandemic.

But as we continue to move forward, and with more and more people becoming vaccinated and COVID-19 cases lowering, many have been wondering if Disney would bring back Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2021. Disney has stated that they would continue to evaluate park operations amid the pandemic, and it looks like 2021 will continue to bring good news for Disney Parks fans.

Well, now we know that, unfortunately, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will not be returning for 2021. But don’t fret because instead, Walt Disney World is bringing Guests an all-new special ticketed event called Disney After Hours BOO BASH!
