Recently, Walt Disney World Resort confirmed that the Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park will be ending its run on September 29, 2021.
The show, which takes place at Cinderella Castle while Guests line Main Street, U.S.A., will be replaced by a brand new nighttime experience specifically for Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Fans of the immensely popular Happily Ever After fireworks show, however, have expressed their disappointment about Disney’s decision to permanently end this particular nighttime spectacular. Fortunately, there’s still time to catch the fairytale-inspired show one more time before it is over.
But what many Disney World Guests don’t realize is that they can book a private cruise on Seven Seas Lagoon to say goodbye to Happily Ever After without the crowds!
Specialty cruises recently returned to Walt Disney World Resort, giving Guests the opportunity to witness either Happily Ever After or EPCOT Forever — which is also permanently ending to make way for the highly anticipated HarmonioUS — one final time.
Specialty cruises must be booked through the Walt Disney World Resort recreation department at 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529). The official webpage for these cruises reads:
Drop anchor for world-class fireworks during an ever-enchanting nighttime cruise! Fun for all ages, nighttime cruises provide the perfect opportunity to watch Happily Ever After or Epcot Forever right from the water. These brilliant fireworks spectaculars add an amazing wow factor to your cruise!
From the comfort of a chartered boat, your party will set sail for International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon to watch the skies light up over Epcot. Or, embark on the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake cruises to Magic Kingdom park—with synchronized audio onboard to fully immerse you in the moment. It’s an incredible finale to the festivities!
Each 25-foot boat can hold up to 10 Guests. Snacks and decorations, if desired, are included in the $399 plus tax cost. Additional details about specialty cruises are available via phone.
At this time, there is still availability for fireworks cruises at Walt Disney World Resort until the final week of Happily Ever After’s run. However, spots could book up at any time, so call soon if you are interested in this socially distanced way to say a private goodbye to Happily Ever After without the crowds!
