Walt Disney World is busier than ever this summer, and that will only follow into the fall as Disney is preparing for Walt Disney World’s biggest celebration — The World’s Most Magical Celebration!
On October 1, 1971, Walt Disney World Resort opened, and since then has been the ultimate vacation spot for families and Disney Adults around the world. This year, Disney World will be hitting a huge milestone, celebrating 50 years!
Before planning your next trip to Walt Disney World, take note. Disney has implemented the Disney Park Pass system to limit theme park capacity, and Guests have been eagerly planning ahead of time to secure a spot at either Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Thankfully, Disney has replenished the month of October and is allowing more Guests who are Theme Park Ticket Holders and Select Resort Hotel Guests to reserve a Park Pass. We noticed that October 1 was filled for Annual Passholders, but now we are happy to announce that Annual Passholders have a chance to visit during Disney World’s Most Magical Celebration!
Annual Passholders
Previously, Annual Passholders were completely booked for October 1. After reviewing the calendar on the official Walt Disney World website, Annual Passholders have an opportunity to celebrate Disney World’s 50th in Disney’s Animal Kingdom or Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the first day of the celebrations as there is still reservation availability.
It looks as though the rest of the month is also up for grabs for all four theme parks! This is wonderful news since Walt Disney World Resort will be celebrating the 50th not only for the month of October but until April 2023.
Keep in mind that Disney is currently adding more theme park reservation dates as more events and shows have returned, giving more opportunities to increase capacity and bring more Guests to the Parks (as well as bring more Cast Members back to work). Check with the Walt Disney World website or My Disney Experience app for up-to-date information.
Fab 50 coming to Walt Disney World
Disney World is bringing an EARidescent experience with a new firework show in Magic Kingdom, new attractions, and decor hanging on Cinderella Castle, but that’s not all!
The magic of Walt Disney World’s 50th Celebration will start right inside the Orlando International Airport! Guests will begin their Disney journey and be immersed with some Fab 50 character statues as well as a photo opportunity. Check out some Disney Fab 50 characters that have been announced here.
