Fans received the announcement they were waiting for this afternoon — ‘Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Resort is reopening to Guests next month! That means delicious potstickers, crispy chicken wings, delicious bread pudding, and yakisoba noodles! (Well, or so we thought).

The Disney Parks Blog announcement included when ‘Ohana will reopen, when reservations will become available, and what the menu will look like for both breakfast and dinner.

We know Disney characters will not be available for breakfast, which isn’t too surprising as the pandemic is still ongoing and some other restaurants that previously hosted character dining have suspended characters for the time being. (Cape May Cafe, Trattoria al Forno, and Crystal Palace are all examples of this.)

However, there is one other thing that will be missing from ‘Ohana when it reopens — the iconic yakisoba noodles.

The full announcement reads:

‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (Opening July 9; bookings available June 10)

With the backdrop of tropical greenery, ‘Ohana will again offer their fabulous all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast and dinner offerings when they reopen. Although Disney characters will not be hosting breakfast, a strolling musician will entertain guests for dinner.

For breakfast, start with pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, move on to Stitch and Mickey Mouse waffles, then dig into “eggs”cellent breakfast skillets with ham, sausage, and breakfast potatoes.

The ‘Ohana dinner features all-you-care-to-enjoy platters of grilled beef steak, roasted chicken, sausage, and island shrimp casserole served with fried rice and roasted broccolini. And yes, ‘Ohana pot stickers, crispy soy chicken wings, and the signature ‘Ohana bread pudding served warm with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream are back! Yippee!

So yes, dinner will still include delicious steak, chicken, fried rice, and roasted broccolini as well as the iconic potsticker, crispy soy chicken wings, and of course the ‘Ohana bread pudding for dessert, but fans were quick to notice that those yakisoba noodles were missing from the list.

Jon (@isthisjon) took to Twitter to share that the missing noodles have not gone unnoticed:

all of us looking at the ZERO NOODS AT OHANA

And Megan (@MegsAlmighty) Tweeted out something similar:

Disney announcing the return of Ohana but they gave the axe to the noodles?! Monsters, absolute monsters.

Disney fan @slimraaerae expressed that she thought she received the best news today after seeing ‘Ohana reopening, but then she noticed the missing noodles:

Thought I got the news of the year today with Ohana reopening in time for our trip until I FOUND OUT THEY DONT HAVE THE NOODLES ANYMORE

Krystal (@the_music_gal) Tweeted at Disney World demanding the noodles make a comeback:

@WaltDisneyWorld Ohana needs to bring back its noodles!!!

And lastly, Chelsea (@jurassicfork_) Tweeted out an In Memorium for the delicious ‘Ohana noodles:

RIP ‘Ohana noodles. This is a devastating loss. I’m going to need some time to process this.

Even though ‘Ohana does not list the iconic noodles in its reopening announcement, the good news is you can recreate the yakisoba noodles in your very own kitchen thanks to this copycat recipe.

‘Ohana reopens to Guests on July 9 and reservations will be available to book beginning June 10.
