Walt Disney World is going to be celebrating 50 years of magic in October and now, the theme parks are recognizing who helps make that magic for Guests every single day — The Cast Members!
Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle, who took over for former President Josh D’Amaro, recently shared that Cast Members, who “make the Disney magic come alive for millions of Guests every year”, will be at the “heart of the parks” around the 50th anniversary.
Now, as we inch closer to this milestone, Walt Disney World is thanking their Cast Members for the continued inspiration and for making magic for Guests every single day.
Walt Disney World Cast and Community took to Facebook to share a heartwarming video along with the caption:
At the heart of Walt Disney World is the legacy, tradition, and spirit of Cast Members. ? As we prepare for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning October 1, we want to thank our Cast Members for inspiring us and making dreams come true. You are the magic! ✨ #DisneyWorld50 #DisneyCastLife
The video begins as the words “For more than 50 years, this magical place has inspired the world… Because of you” appear on the screen. We then see a collage of photos showcasing different Cast Members as the video thanks each and every one.
“You heard the magic calling… and you made dreams come true”, the video continued. “You all have a common goal… to grant the wishes of dreamers… to create happiness for all.”

In October 2021, we are going to be celebrating the 50th anniversary, and we should all know by now that Disney doesn’t take milestones like this lightly. That is exactly why Disney World is bringing a party to all of its Disney theme parks later this year — making this Walt Disney World’s biggest celebration yet!
