One of the biggest announcements we have heard regarding the daily operations of the Walt Disney World theme parks as of late is that fireworks are returning to certain parks!
After not having any nighttime entertainment at Disney World for over a year, Disney announced that Happily Ever After would return to Magic Kingdom, and EPCOT Forever would return to EPCOT. Both shows will be running nightly from July 1 until October 1, which is what Disney’s 50th anniversary begins and Disney’s Enchantment will take over Magic Kingdom, and the highly anticipated HarmonioUS will begin its run at EPCOT.
When the announcement came out that fireworks were returning, July 1 Disney Park Passes started to fly. Annual Passholders cleared all of the Magic Kingdom reservations very quickly, but now, it seems those Disney Park Passes have been re-added and are now full again.
If we look at Disney Resort Guest availability, it seems that EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are all available, but Disney’s Hollywood Studios is not.
Theme Park Ticket Guests also share that same availability. So as of now, it seems that anyone can make a Disney Park Pass reservation for a Disney Park that will be showing fireworks on July 1!
If this availability changes before you making your Disney Park Pass reservation, remember that Park Hopping is available to Guests who have a valid Park Hopping ticket or Annual Pass. As long as Magic Kingdom or EPCOT is not at capacity, Guests can go to their Disney Park Pass theme park, scan in, and at 2:00 p.m., head over to a new theme park as long as it is not at capacity.
Personally, if you plan on doing this and theme park reservations hit capacity at either theme park, I recommend heading to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT in the afternoon, as many Guests with a Disney Park Pass could show up later in the evening, closer to fireworks.
