This has definitely been a fun-filled and historic month for Walt Disney World! Not only has Disney removed social distancing markers around all four theme parks and have eliminated the mask mandate for fully vaccinated Guests but now have surprised Disney fans with the biggest news yet!
For those who are unaware, get your tissues ready! Starting July 1, Magic Kingdom in the Walt Disney World Resort will debut the return of Happily Ever After fireworks!
Many Disney fans have been holding off their Disney World vacations until they knew for certain when fireworks would return. If you are one of those people, you might want to book your Disney World theme park reservations now as we have noticed many Annual Passholders are securing their spot.
Annual Passholder for July
Moments after the news broke, it was not surprising to see that Annual Passholders in Walt Disney World secured July 1 to experience one of Disney’s most beloved firework shows, Happily Ever After. Right now Magic Kingdom is completely booked but with the hopes that Disney World will increase theme park capacity, this might change soon. July 4 is also booked for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Currently, Theme Park Ticket and Select Resort Hotels are quickly being snagged in July. With the return of the fireworks, reservations running from July 1 through July 20 in Magic Kingdom are filled.
What about EPCOT?
As Disney works towards bringing HarmonioUS to life this year, many Guests have seen and heard fireworks from EPCOT hinting that EPCOT Forever fireworks show may return! Today Disney Parks Blog announced and confirmed this to be true as they stated:
“Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage you to grab hold of your dreams and make them come true. And as part of the ongoing transformation of EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce a spectacle of fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future.
Whether you are a Theme Park Ticket Holder, Select Resort Guest, or Annual Passholder, you still have a chance to book EPCOT to experience this spectacular event on July 1. We suggest you book these reservations via Walt Disney World’s official website as soon as possible, as we have seen today that fireworks are on everyone’s bucket list!
Please keep in mind that in order to book a theme park reservation to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests must have valid admission.
