Glitch on Disney World Website Hints FastPass+ Could Return!

in Walt Disney World

When Walt Disney World reopened its theme parks to the public back in mid-July 2020, several changes were implemented — one of them being the temporary elimination of FastPass+.

However, as Disney World continues to modify safety protocols put into place, could they be gearing up to bring FastPass+ back as well? There’s a possibility!

FastPass+

FastPass+ allowed Guests to select certain attractions that they wanted to bypass the line for before even leaving their home! They would choose an attraction and a time frame, which would then be linked to their My Disney Experience account.

Once it was their time to ride, they would go to the attraction queue, scan their MagicBand or ticket/Annual Pass, and bypass the line. This not only allowed Guests to experience other things in the theme park but also helped to eliminate more Guests standing in the physical line.

However, as previously mentioned, FastPass+ is still temporarily suspended as the official Disney World website states:

FastPass+ Selections

As a result of the COVID-19 impact on operations, the FastPass+ service is suspended for the time being. FastPass+ service is not offered with the purchase of tickets or annual passes. We will share future updates at a later date.

Is FastPass+ Returning Soon?

Now, some Disney fans are experiencing a glitch on the Walt Disney World website and in My Disney Experience that could be hinting at the return of FastPass+.

If you have a Disney World vacation booked, and you log into My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website, you may notice a familiar button pop up — FastPass+. Though this is not happening to everyone, this glitch is getting some excited about the possibility that this amenity may be returning soon.

Instagram user, Dream Travel by Jenny, is one of the future Guests who experienced this glitch. She took to the social media platform to share a screenshot of the FastPass+ button pop up on her My Disney Experience. She writes:

Could it be coming back?!?!

There are whispers and hints online that @waltdisneyworld could be bringing back fastpasses! #fingerscrossed #fastpass #fastpass2021 #waltdisneyworld #disney #familyvacation #parkdays #mickeymouse #summertravel #travelisback #dreamtravelbyjenny

At this time, it seems as though this is just a glitch happening randomly to some accounts and not everyone. It is important to keep in mind that at this time, FastPass+ is still currently suspended and Disney has not announced when or if this amenity will return.
