With the big news of Universal Orlando Resort unleashing the opening date of the most anticipated roller coaster of the year, Jurassic World VelociCoaster, coaster enthusiast everywhere will be chomping at the bit to get a taste of the latest thrill attraction.

As we reported, on June 10, VelociCoaster will roar to life! The announcement follows months of hype-building and teases from Universal Orlando Resort, as Guests and future riders have only been able to guesstimate the opening date from the detailed progress that we have seen done to the coaster.

However, now that the roller coaster’s grand opening date has been revealed, it seems that Universal is giving is a better look at the coaster than they ever have before! Most recently, Universal (@universalorlando) took to their Instagram to drop the latest VelociCoaster trailer, and Guests are getting a better look at the coaster than ever before.
The hunt begins June 10! #velocicoaster
From long POV sections of the coaster barrel-rolling over the lagoon and dropping from the 155-foot top hat, this is the closest VelociCoaster fans have ever felt to actually riding the coaster.
We also previously reported on a Jurassic World exhibit that was happening in China. In the exhibit, we saw a lifelike raptor muzzled through the wall, and after looking at the trailer for the coaster, it seems Guests can expect to see the carnivorous dinosaurs poking their heads out as well. Although we cannot see exactly where the animatronic will take place, I have a feeling that it will be in the queue, to set up for the storyline in which riders go on a run with Blue and the rest of the dino gang.
Orlando Informer (@orlandoinformer) also took to Instagram to showcase a few shots from the coaster. The one that has us most excited to see is the clear indoor section of the queue where Guests will circle the three velociraptors.

For now, there has been no news of an Annual Passholder preview or any kind of preview for the attraction. However, with National Dinosaur Day around the corner on June 1, that could be a perfect day to preview the attraction.
