We were already aware of Disney’s new mega complex called Flamingo Crossings Village, which is large enough to house all of its Disney College Program participants. Some of that project is already completed. While the DCP is not operating due to the pandemic, Disney has opened up the already finished apartments to any Cast Members with a valid blue or green ID. Only Disney Cast Members are allowed to live at Flamingo Crossings Village.
But what if you are a Cast Member who doesn’t want Mickey as your landlord, but still wants to live with all the conveniences of Flamingo Crossings? You are in luck! According to a new report from the Orlando Business Journal, Unicorp is purchasing a large area of land for a luxury apartment development right next to Flamingo Crossings.
Orlando Business Journal stated that the project will break ground in January 2022, and it is likely to be completed by mid-2023. The complex has yet to be named and will include 200 apartment units. These luxury apartments by Unicorp will not be exclusive to Disney World employees. However, considering that Walt Disney World employs tens of thousands of people in Central Florida, the apartments’ proximity to the theme parks is sure to be a huge draw for those who currently work at Disney or who plan to move to the area in the next few years.
What else will you find at Flamingo Crossings?
Flamingo Crossings already has a number of hotels that have opened. The center will also feature shopping and dining with some well-known brands such as Target, Dominos, and more. Making this not only a convenient place to live but also a very convenient place to stay on your Disney World vacation.
