Disney Opens College Program Housing to ALL Cast Members - Inside the Magic

Disney has been hard at work on their new master-planned shopping, dining, and residential center, Flamingo Crossings, just a few minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Within this expansive space, Disney has built a brand-new apartment complex for the participants of its Disney College Program (DCP). Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, Disney has suspended the program until further notice. 

Now, Disney is opening the apartment complex exclusively for all Cast Members, not just Disney College Program participants.

We at Inside the Magic spoke to Flamingo Crossings Village and they confirmed that at this time only active Disney Cast Members at eligible to rent at the complex. DCP participants will also be able to live there once the program starts up again, although still no word on when that will be.

Here is a description of Flamingo Crossings Village from their official website:

Flamingo Crossings Village provides Cast Members and Operating Participants with spacious 2 and 4 bedroom apartments at a range of rates conducive for various budgets. All apartments feature hardwood-style flooring, stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, a flat panel TV and a free furniture package.  

Enjoy the expansive Community Center, including a 12,500 sq ft state-of-the-art fitness center, multipurpose lounges, and indoor recreation with ping pong, billiards, arcade games and more! Take a step outside to explore the resort-style swimming pools, basketball and sand volleyball courts, and The Great Lawn courtyard space. Flamingo Crossings Village is how you want to live. 

These apartments appear to be a vast improvement from the previous Disney College Program housing (if you have ever done the DCP you know what I am talking about!). It is great to see that an opportunity to live in this brand new complex has opened up to all Cast Members currently working at Disney World!

Flamingo Crossings Village will be walking distance to all of the new exciting restaurants and retail locations of the master-planned center of Flamingo Crossings. This center is only 10 minutes away from Walt Disney World property and will offer great access for Cast Members to get to and from work.
