Credit: ITMUniversal Studios Hollywood is officially open and Guests are finally back in the park! Rides and attractions are open, restaurants are serving their delicious foods, and characters are out.
Let’s take a look at what characters you can see at Universal Hollywood and where you can find them!
Marilyn Monroe
Guests walking down Universal Boulevard, the main street when you enter that park, have the opportunity to see multiple characters. The beautiful and iconic Marilyn Monroe can be seen picture-ready in her classic pink convertible.
Guests can approach the rope, which is set at a socially safe distance from the starlet, where they can have a conversation with her, take her photo, and get as many selfies as their hearts desire.
Hello Kitty
Continuing down Universal Boulevard, Guests can find their favorite third-grade Londoner, Hello Kitty.
She is dressed up in her Parisian best and can be appropriately found outside of her Hello Kitty Store. Again, ropes are up to keep Guests at a socially safe distance. There is also a marker on the ground and a Universal employee available, so you can stand in the perfect selfie spot.
Donkey
If Guests continue on their way down Universal Boulevard and head toward the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, they will pass the DreamWorks Theater: Featuring Kung Fu Panda. The theater used to house Shrek 4D, but was replaced by Kung Fu Panda in 2018.
However, one of the character favorites from Shrek stuck around — Donkey! Donkey can be found in his booth, where he talks to Guests about everything from what they like to do to one of his favorite topics — Waffles.
Scooby-Doo
Guests who turn off of Universal Boulevard and head towards the new attraction Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash can find another popular pet — Scooby-Doo!
On Universal’s Pass Member Preview Day, the scaredy-cat Great Dane could be found outside of Universal Plaza in Pet’s Place.
Minions
Continuing down Pet’s Place, Guests will see the popular, but currently closed attraction, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem. You can take a right towards Super Silly Fun Land and meet some little yellow mischief-makers along the way!
Outside of Miss Hattie’s Home for Girls, there are two minions who Guests will have the chance to meet. The tall, and sometimes confused-looking Kevin, as well as the tiny, round, and absolutely adorable minion, Bob.
There is a socially distanced safe bench for Guests to sit on if they want a minion selfie.
Conductor of Hogwarts Express
If Guests find themselves in the mood for a Butterbeer and a little bit of magic, they can head over to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, also located on the Upper Lot of the park.
Greeting Guests as they enter Hogsmeade is the Conductor of The Hogwarts Express. He is always ready to talk to Guests and pose for photos.
The Simpsons characters
Heading towards the back of the Upper Lot, Guests will enter Springfield, home of The Simpsons.
Guests can head to the Kwik-E-Mart and see characters like Homer, Bart, Marge, and Lisa.
Blue the Velociraptor
Heading down to the Lower Lot, there is also a couple of fun character encounters that Guests can have.
If they are brave enough, Guests can head to the Raptor Encounter by Jurassic World: The Ride and meet one of the stars of the Jurassic World film franchise, Blue the Velociraptor.
Transformers
Guests who love robots and Transformers can also experience a meet and greet with two famous Autobots — Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Occasionally, the villain of The Transformers franchise, Megatron will also make an appearance.
With all of these great characters to meet while at Universal Studios Hollywood, there are plenty of fun opportunities for everyone to have!
