Jurassic World:Â The Ride is open for Guests at Universal Studios Hollywood for the park’s Pass Member Preview Day. And it seems that all of the Park Guests may have ventured to the attraction.
The ride, which recently received an amazing new addition, opened at about 11 a.m. and the wait for the attraction quickly skyrocketed. At its morning high point, the wait was 3 hours long!
It didn’t stay at three hours all day — shorter wait times were about two hours a couple of hours later before the attraction spiked back up to over three hours sometime after that. Consistently, the attraction has drawn a lot of fans all day.
While most other rides had wait times around the 30-minute mark, Jurassic World: The Ride was clearly a must-do for Guests visiting the park. With temperatures in Southern California reaching the mid-seventies, seeing dinosaurs and experiencing a flume ride was a nice way to cool off.
Jurassic World: The Ride only opened in 2019 when a retheme was done to the Jurassic Park water ride that was there before it. The ride was updated to go along with the new Jurassic World films starring Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing.
The ride received another amazing (and thrilling!) upgrade while the park was closed due to the pandemic. One of the more popular and interesting dinosaurs from the new Jurassic World films was added and the ride now has one epic ending.
Universal Studios Hollywood reopened on April 15 for its special Pass Member Preview Day and officially opens back up for those who purchased tickets on April 16. “Bonus Days” are also being offered to pass members. Those days are free with reservations and run through May 17.
New Annual Passes, as well as one-day tickets are currently for sale. However, the park is only open for California Residents. There is no word on when the park will open to Guests outside the state, but Inside the Magic will keep you updated regarding travel in the State of California.
