There is no better feeling than arriving at the Orlando International Airport without the need to collect your luggage because Disney will have it magically appear in your room, and you can head straight to the Magical Express check-in kiosk. The Magical Express is, for most Guests, the start of Disney magic on their vacation. Now that it is leaving, Guests are not holding that door open; instead, they are keeping it shut.

The Walt Disney World Resort recently decided to end its Magical Express service as of January 1, 2022. The Magical Express is a complimentary service offered by Disney for Disney World Resort Guests that not only transports luggage but also brings Guests to their Disney World Resort on a Disney-themed motor coach. The service helps Guests save money on transportation but also has quizzes, Disney Park tours, and Mickey shorts playing as your head to your Disney Resort, creating a magical and Disney-specific experience before you even arrive on the property.

Although the decision has been made, there is still a full year before it comes into effect, and it seems Guests are trying to push that date back (or erase it). A petition on Change.org has been created to save Disney’s Magical Express, and it seems to be slowly growing. After its recent inception, the petition already has 1,000 signatures and is spreading on Twitter.
The petition, Save the Magical Express, reads:
On Jan.1 2022 Disney has announced the end of The Magical Express.
We think this is a massive mistake. We love The Magical Express and consider it an integral part of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that needs to continue.

Could the Magical Express return?
The Magical Express is a Disney-run service not wholly owned by the company — Mears operates the busses on which Guests travel. We recently theorized that the end of the Magical Express could be the end of the Mears transportation service, but that does not mean Disney will not come up with their own. There is still one year before the service ends in which Disney could announce an alternate to the Magical Express.
Although Disney has not announced this, it would be an interesting solution to a new transportation option and a solution to Guests wanting the Magical Express back.
Do you think Disney will create an alternative option to the Magical Express?
