There is no better feeling than arriving at the Orlando International Airport knowing that you do not need to collect your luggage because Disney will have it magically appear in your room for you, and heading straight to the Magical Express check-in kiosk. The Magical Express is, for most Guests, the start of Disney magic on their vacation. Now that it is leaving, Guests are not holding that door open, rather, they are holding it shut.
Although the decision has been made, there is still a full year before it comes into effect, and it seems Guests are trying to push that date back (or, erase it). A petition on Change.org has been created to save Disney’s Magical Express, and it seems to be slowly growing. After its recent inception, the petition already has 1,000 signatures and is spreading on Twitter.
The petition, Save the Magical Express, reads:
On Jan.1 2022 Disney has announced the end of The Magical Express.
We think this is a massive mistake. We love The Magical Express and consider it an integral part of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that needs to continue.

The Magical Express is a Disney run service that is actually not fully owned by the company — Mears operates the busses which Guests travel on. We recently theorized that the end of the Magical Express could be the end of the Mears transportation service, but that does not mean Disney will not come up with their own. There is a full year between now and the end of the service in which Disney theoretically could announce an alternate to the Magical Express.
Although this has not been announced by Disney, it would be an interesting solution to a new transportation option and solution to Guests wanting the Magical Express back.
Do you think that Disney will create an alternative option to the Magical Express?
