Noooo! This is part of the whole Disney experience!

We will not be staying in Disney anymore. Very disappointed with the stopping of the Magical Express. It was the start of our vacation. The ease of not having to look for our bags or rent a car only to have to pay for parking in the resort. We will stay outside Disney from now on. It’s cheaper & we aren’t locked into only Disney. Big mistake Disney!

I am a longtime WDW supporter & visitor. I understand everyone’s frustration. Let me just say the following, hopefully without causing a major uprising. I totally agree that the Magical Express service should NOT be discontinued. Whether traveling alone or with a family, i consider eliminating this service to be a major problem. For those who have negative feelings re: individuals w/disabilities let me just say the Federal Govt requires reasonable accommodations for those who qualify. Yes, they get on the bus first. However, Disney’s recent policy has been to allow 1 other person to board with them (such as husband or wife). The days of allowing a whole gaggle of family members on board are gone. Even those in a wheelchair are not always able to get on the bus. If the handicap “seats” are already taken by other wheelchairs they must wait for the next bus while the rest of the non-disabled guests get to board with multiple strollers and more. Disabled individuals, whom I have encountered, wish they could stand in line with you, walk the parks, ride all the attractions, especially the children. Eliminating the Magical Express will be a MAJOR INCONVENIENCE for all resort guests. Tickets keep going up, food & beverage prices on the increase & other cutbacks have changed the overall experience. Doing away with this transportation service is a BAD decision, MAJOR inconvenience, FINANCIAL hardship for guests and a possible DETERRENT for future visitors. In closing… no one knows when something may happen to cause you or someone you love to become disabled. I know there are always some who take advantage, but it is unfair to group them all together. I have seen worse with some people from outside the U.S. who, as an example, have 1 or 2 people waiting in line whether it be for a bus, attraction, parade, fireworks & then 15-20 show up & join them.

But the funny thing is you’re pissed because they’re pandering to somebody else not you. Also god forbid you have to wait an extra 15 minutes for another bus. If it bothers you so much, uber and lyft are great options. How small of a man you must be, give me one reason having an African-American little mermaid is a problem, did it hurt you? If your triggered this hard because a black mermaid you are 1000% the snowflake you claim others to bee

    1. Tom

You are obviously missing the point. Others have seen this and I am sorry that you feel the need to think the way you do. #metoo happens..star wars then gets headed by a female who had no right running the new film series..she got the job because disney wanted to be inclusive..what happened?..The movies were a bust and were the center of alot of controversy..gender confused characters needed to be added to the story line..nope..but they wanted to be inclusive to the lgbtq communtiy..blm happens..they then want to rebrand splash mountain..because of a 60+ year old movie and its racial undertones. The ride of which had nothing to do with the original story as it only used the animal characters. But they rebrand it to princess and the frog..why? To be inclusive to the African American community. As far as the little mermaid…well let’s see..Ariel was pale white with bright red hair..the only princess with red hair for the longest time. A character that my sister and my wife for that matter had a fond connection with because they are both pale and have red hair. As many pale blonde girls and women connect with Cinderella..or brunette connecting with Belle. I am sorry that you do not see the problem with changing and completely rewriting characters just so certain groups feel included. Doing that in of itself is prejudice..not only against the character and its fans but against the group they are trying to cater to. Disney panders. Disney tries to stay politically correct and in doing so they alienate some of their hard-core fans who spend ALOT of money on Disney IP and vacations. Im not talking about the people who stay at Disney in the value resorts and try to do it as cheap as they can..however that is who Disney pander to. The “snowflake” generation are the ones to blame. They are the ones who go online and say this isn’t fair. Do I want Disney to cater to me? No and when did I say that? I stated that disabled ppl should have their party wait in line like the rest of us. Is that asking for special treatment? Is asking that everyone wait their turn too much to ask? And as stated by someone on here they have already fixed the issue that I was talking about by only allowing 1 or 2 members on with them. I still believe that those 1 or 2 members should have to stand in line like the rest of us and then get boarded when it is their turn. There is no reason a person in a wheelchair cannot sit off to the side of the cue and wait. There is also no reason for them to be loaded on as soon as the next bus comes whether or not handicapped spots are available. There are people standing outside holding kids, bags, strollers ect that can use those seats while the disabled persons party walks through the que. And I’ll ask you the same thing I’ve asked everyone with a different point of view. Mother tries to sue Disney for fireworks being to loud for her autistic son..and family trying to sue for chair lifts not being in all restrooms in all the parks..resorts..and restaurants…examples of people wanting Disney to cater even further to their rare children needs..so I guess you think both of those examples are fair too…I truly am sorry that you cannot see the big picture and what it is Disney is truly doing. Pandering to certain groups to make more money..off of those certain groups..they play on the emotions and current social tides to twist their narrative to seem like the all inclusive company. Its a joke and more people see things in my perspective than they do yours.

      1. Matt

“They are the ones who go online and say this isn’t fair.”
        Hmm…

        1. Tom

I love when people like to cherry pick something out of a whole paragraph..to fit their narrative. As pat stated above disney has fixed the issue with allowing groups with disabled members to abuse the ada and have the WHOLE party board. The reason Disney made the change..well I’m guessing they were receiving a ton of backlash from situations just like my family was found in. I ask you Matt where do you see the fairness in what used to be an acceptable practice for parties with disabled members. You feel because someone rents a jazzy(which no medical reason is needed to get one) so that they may jump lines..have large parties skip lines..use the ada to get passes for rides..or exit ramp loading. Please explain to me the fairness in having people standing outside for almost an hour only to be passed up by a group who did not wait in the same line and was automatically loaded onto the bus..not only in front of my family but upwards of 200 other people. The fairness that I was highlighting is those same groups of people trying to get disney and others to conform to them. Once again as I’ve said to others I am sorry that you fail to see things from outside the box..I can see that mass media and social media thought conditions has done its job with you. Congrats good sir.

        2. Neil

Ha! Too true. Fortunately time heals all wounds. I have a feeling some people (and more people who see things in their perspective) will have to face some hard truths soon. For the rest of us, welcome to the happiest and most magical places on earth! We’re happy to have you (the folks who don’t mind you kids on our lawn, don’t think anyone needs to pull their dang pants up, never mention “back in my day,” and realize that the choice of casting for a mythical creature doesn’t make any of us less relevant to the conversation, but our own pig-headed ideas just might.)

          1. Tom

No you’re right man. Rewriting history(or stories) to better reflect the current political climate in our country makes so much sense. Pandering to certain groups to increase the cashflow from said groups..yeah no nothing sketchy about those business practices at all. All female cast for Pirates 6..yeah that will flop just as hard as universal’s all female cast reboot of the Ghostbusters was a huge hit right? Hollywood as well as Disney has been doing this for forever. They have a true and proven formula(or franchise) and then they ruin them to conform to the social norms of the day. What happens when they do this? It fails..immensely. History has told and shown us that pandering doesn’t work in the long run. It puts a uick bandaid on current issues..issues that Hollywood and Disney didn’t care about until social media movements. They do not care about these groups they pander too..just like they don’t care about their overall fan base. They only care about your money and how many ways they can figure out how to separate you from it. However now more and more people are privy to Disney and what they stand for. So go ahead and look at the changes Disney makes to casts and roles as progress..when in reality its all a cash grab and a chance for them to say loud and proud who they stand up for…lmao its honestly a joke and you people who fall for it hand over fist are just as much of a joke..and one side note..imagine if historically black roles with white actors..or a female lead role switched to a man..oh imagine the backlash then. Live action Princess Tiana role being given to say Lindsay Lohan…lol imagine the uproar from the African American community then. You don’t even have to imagine it because people shame actors who wear fat suits for roles and say they should have casted an actual heavy person for the role…so yeah..there would be backlash. But it’s perfectly wrong for people to be upset when its the reverse situation.hmm?

    2. Tom

But hey at least thanks for agreeing with me that Disney was indeed pandering to disabled..at least in my situation. Now go ahead and look at the dozens of other examples of how Disney caters to certain groups..you’ll be surprised at how much you actually find…

  5. stop crying and get the uber.???????

  6. jerilyn a benham

Usually travel alone to meet my adult daughters in Disney and never needed to worry about transportation and not being safe
Now there will be a bit of concern. I believe it’s a mistake to cancel the magical express

  7. mike

Point taken Jake ! As a matter of fact we are being met by a private car service this year lol. Maybe we just are old & don’t like the many WDW changes and cuts over the last decade. You should have seen WDW at Xmas time way back when lol. Live it large Jake it’s a short dance .

  8. J.

Where do I sign this petition? We LOVE the Magical Express, the luggage check in and airport check in upon leaving. Takes that much more stress out of the vacation. Boo to you Disney, please reconsider. (Also, dining plans again, please!!)

  9. David Snowden

Disney is not magical any more no bus service when they charge so much for every thing ,take away season passes, take away meal plans
there is. no value to going anymore when everything is over priced. we will never go back

  10. Pame S Sayler

I visit Disney at least 2 times a year. I rely on the magical express to get to and from Disney. Now I dont know how I will get there. I dont want to drive a car on my trip and we bring lots of luggage. So we can’t use a taxi. This will put an added expense in our budget. I hope Disney comes up with a good solution..

  11. Ana

Please don’t get rid of this service so convenient

  12. JD

Man, how sad must your life be to spend the day going off about how much you hate the disabled, making sure you make it clear you mean both those with mental and physical disabilities, and historically oppressed people. Somebody needs a hug (and a valium or two) ?

    1. Stevie Hughes

I’m pretty sure it’s a troll. Nobody’s actually THAT awful.

      1. Ben

Nah, Tom lives down the street and yes, he is that awful.

        1. Ted

Yikes. I have a “Tom” of my own down the street. Every time he walks out the door and speaks, I can feel my property value drop. We have such an attractive neighborhood, but he scares all the best prospective buyers away! I have a feeling tomorrow he’ll be in rare (or in his case not so rare) conspiracy theory screaming form (sigh)

  13. Brian Sylvester

I have a disability and do not drive, this would strip so much of the magic away for me. Please keep this service

  14. Sandra M Neuberg

My idea of staying on disney property it was a perk to have a bus pick you up at the airport and take to the disney hotel. Using the bus made it so convenient to step out your hotel and get on a bus. My mother uses a scooter thru out the trip and it was wonderful to have a bus service with the scooter lift and nice bus drivers to put it on. When its time to leave to have the tickets and luggage on the bus was great. Now what is the sense of staying on disney property anymore. I can save money now and stay off the property.

  15. Karin

    Bring it back!!
It’s the most convenient transportation to everyone!!
They have amazing drivers and staff!!
With all this going on, you would expect to go above and beyond, not bringing down someone’s hope who wants to go to Disney!!
Some people rely on the transportation to get from point A to point B!!
Please reconsider and stay!! I’ve always had the best service with Magical Express!!

  16. Kristy

I will miss the free Magical Express. It was a nice perk. But as a West Coaster, we are used to paying for the Disney sanctioned transportation to and from the airport. It never was free. I will bite the bullet and pay for it at WDW too.

The Disney Magic Express is a HUGE reason to stay at Disney. I can literally start relaxing as soon as I get off the Plane. I don’t have to go to baggage claim, I don’t have to find transportation, I don’t have to deal with transporting my bags. I just step off the Plane and go to the Magic Express area. My bags are delivered directly to my room. On the way back I can check my bags at the resort , get on the bus, and head to the security checkpoint. I have stayed at Disney a number of times and the Magic Express is on of the Main reasons. The Magic Express not only promotes but DELIVERS the stated Disney objective of WELCOME HOME. The service distinguishes Disney from Universal Studios. I’ve heard that there are plans for a train from the Airport to Disney, which I do NOT feel is an acceptable option. If I still have to go to baggage claim, put my bags on a Bus, etc. It’s NO Help. I have persuaded a lot of friends, etc. to stay at Disney based on the Disney Magic Express Experience. I think it’s a HUGE Mistake for Disney to discontinue this service. I STRONGLY recommend Disney Reconsider.
