When you visit Walt Disney World, one way to make your vacation even more magical is to stay on Disney property — but did you know you don’t need to stay at a Disney owned Resort to be on property?

Walt Disney World Official Hotels: Disney Springs Resort Area has hotels that are actually on property, and you get the same perks that Disney Resorts typically come with such as the 60-day booking window, FastPass+, Extra Magic Hours, and Disney transportation to and from the parks. Of course, during the pandemic not all of these offerings are currently available, but they will return in the future so long as they are reinstated by Disney World.

The Rooms
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista hotel is comprised of 2 sections that tier into different price points. The more ‘Deluxe’ level accommodations are at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, however, the price point per night is priced like a Moderate Disney Resort. The other is the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista side which would fall under the ‘Value’ category. These rooms have been recently refurbished, and I have been lucky enough to see them, so trust me when I say these are the nicest looking ‘value’ rooms I have seen!

Wyndham recently issued a press release on the renovations stating:
The two official Walt Disney World Resort hotels, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista are packed with many shared amenities. This guest room renovation includes 394 newly reimagined garden-themed rooms for the value-minded guest and another 232 rooms in the upscale 19-story tower overlooking Disney Springs, which features a lake house motif.
“Just in time for your holiday vacation and weekend staycation planning, we have completed a significant transformation that has been several years in the making, said Jay Leonard, General Manager of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort Complex. We are grateful to those who have pardoned our dust as we worked with top designers and builders to create what we believe will be a great guest experience.”
The rooms are described as having, “neutral tones such as white, sand and light green helps to maintain a light, crisp, calm and airy space, keeping in line with the theme,” and that is definitely true. The rooms have a beach-like relaxing feeling, which is perfect after a busy day at Magic Kingdom. The brand new finishings really let you feel like you are living in luxury, but you are able to do so at a very fantastic price point.
Plus there are USB fixtures all over, so you never need to worry about not having a plug-in for your phone, and plenty of storage to keep your belongings in so you do not need to have your luggage out in the open, and you can keep the clean and fresh feeling that the resort alludes going.
One of the best things about both Wyndham hotels is the proximity to the Disney Springs shopping district. There is a walkway from the hotel to the Disney shopping and dining hub, and you can get there in a matter of minutes. The convenience that this has for hotel guests is fantastic! You can head to Chef Artsmiths Homecomin’ for dinner and not worry about the craziness that is the Disney Springs parking lot.
Plus, check out the view you can get when you stay in the tower! Talk about a room with a view.
Amenities
Aside from having access to all of the Disney Perks that you get when staying on property, this hotel has many amenities aside from those that make it work staying.
The Oasis Aquatic Pool Area is ideal for sunbathing and splashing around with the kids. Stay active on outdoor volleyball and basketball courts or if you’re here for work, our business center and 19,000 square feet of event space are at your service. You can also enjoy nightly Disney fireworks right from the resort (subject to availability). Arriving by car? Onsite gated self-parking is available for $20 plus tax per night. We want every guest to have a personalized stay, so our outstanding amenities and conveniences are part of the $24/day plus tax resort fee.
