We recently reported that according to the official Walt Disney World and Disneyland websites, if you try to book a resort reservation for any date prior to June 1, it says there are no rooms available. (You can read more about this here.)

But that is also true for dining reservations. If you try to make a dining reservation prior to June 1 at Disney World, there is no availability. However, if you have a future Disney trip for later on this year, you can then make dining reservations for any restaurant on property (pending availability of course).

You can see in the above screenshot, we tried making a dining reservation for any restaurant on property for a date prior to June 1 and there is absolutely no availabilities listed. But in the screenshot below, you will see Inside the Magic tried to make a reservation for June 1 and there are plenty of openings available for booking.

For Disneyland, since you can’t make reservations prior to 60 days out, the website is only allowing dates to be selected through May 30, however, like Disney World, there are no reservations currently available. But, we do expect once the 60 day booking window opens for June 1, there will be reservations available and you can book as normal.

So the short and simple answer to the FAQ of “Can I Still Make Dining Reservations For Future Disney Trips?” is yes, if your future Disney trip is on or after June 1, 2020.

Information Regarding The Disney Dining Plan

Guests who opt for the Disney Dining Plan can enjoy delicious, pre-paid meals, mobile ordering, and specialty beverages throughout their Disney vacation! There are four different dining plan options to choose from at the moment, each of which offer unique options for the whole family.

The Disney Dining Plan gives guests a certain amount of dining credits (table service credits, quick service credits, and snack credits) depending on which plan they choose. Then guests can use those on eligible items and table service restaurants located throughout the Disney Parks.

Be on the lookout as Disney tends to release offers on the Disney Dining Plan. For more information, visit the official Walt Disney World website here.
