Tickets for the highly anticipated sequel Frozen 2 went on sale yesterday, November 4, and the sales are already taking to new heights.

It has previously been talked about that Frozen 2 would break records and have the potential to take over the other 2019 Disney films sales as it was predicted to bring in over $100M at the box office during its opening weekend. Now that we have the official numbers after tickets went on sale, we simply can’t believe the outcome!

In its first day of advanced ticket sales, Frozen 2 has broken records as the sequel sold more tickets than any other animated feature through both Atom Tickets and Fandango.

The advanced tickets for Frozen 2 became available on November 4, which is just a few weeks before the sequel’s release on November 22. Now, Disney holds the top three spots for the best initial day of ticket sales for animated films on both ticketing sites. (Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2 are in second and third place on both platforms.)

On Atom Tickets, Frozen 2 broke records for the first day ticket sales of every Disney live-action remake, which includes this summer’s The Lion King, Aladdin, and the 2017 release of Beauty and the Beast.

Also, as we head into the holiday movie season, Frozen 2 is trending as Atom Ticket’s largest pre-sale film and falls just behind Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Frozen 2 will follow the story of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and the rest of the Frozen gang on a brand new journey as they embark into an ancient land so they can find out where Elsa’s magical powers originated from.

It has been confirmed that Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff will all return to voice their memorable and iconic Frozen characters, but that’s not all the hype is about. Frozen fans are also looking forward to the debut of some brand new characters such as  Elsa and Anna’s mother, who will be voiced by Evan Rachel Wood and Lieutenant Mattias, who will be voiced by Sterling K. Brown. Lieutenant Mattias will be a character who Elsa and Anna encounter during their remarkable journey into the enchanted forest.

But what would Frozen be without an iconic and catchy song? Frozen 2 fans will have the pleasure of jamming out to yet another iconic Queen Elsa song. “Into the Unknown” will be Elsa’s theme song in the sequel as she learns to cope with this voice that continues to call her away from her family.
