Recently, there have been several changes happening in Epcot at Walt Disney World. From the closing of IllumiNations to the premiere of the new nighttime spectacular Epcot Forever to the opening of Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience, there has been a lot going on in this theme park.
It’s also an exciting time because the International Food and Wine Festival is currently going on and Disney guests can look forward to new dining experiences and attractions coming soon to Epcot.
Let’s take a look at a few Epcot announcements as well as some new Epcot food and drink options at the park.
This month in Epcot, there have been quite a few new openings as part of the Food and Wine Festival. First, if you want the perfect sweet snack then head on over to Future World next to Test Track and stop by The Donut Box and Cool Wash. The Donut Box is home to Sweet Corn Fritters with Fresno and red pepper jelly as well as some sweet Strawberry-Dusted Yeast Donut Holes.
As far as drinks go, there are several sweet drinks you can choose from including a Strawberry Smoothie and if you are over 21, try the Black and White Coffee Cocktail topped with a fresh yeast donut with chocolate espresso bean crumbles. Guests can also try a Central 28 Beer Company Boston Cream Donut Ale.
Next door to The Donut Box is the newly reopened Cool Wash which offers a variety of fun slushies. Check out the new interactive experience which allows you to create your own custom slushy from a choice of six different frozen beverages. Disney guests can choose from a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including Coke, Fanta Cheery, Fanta Orange, Fanta Banana, Fanta Watermelon, and Blue Raspberry and can top off your slushy with candy pebbles, popping pearls, jelly drops, or popping candy.
And for those Disney guests who are over 21, you can enjoy a delicious beverage consisting of Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla with gin in a souvenir cup.
The Donut Box and Cool Wash will remain open throughout the remainder of the Food and Wine festival, which runs through November 23.
If you are a fan of Ariel and Flounder, then get ready for this big announcement. Coral Reef Restaurant, located in Future World, will now be offering a commemorative menu to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic Disney film The Little Mermaid.
What will be on the menu? Disney guests will be able to choose from items such as Dinglehopper Shrimp Cocktail, Chef Louis’s Lobster Seafood Boil, and King Triton’s Key Lime Tart.
This new The Little Mermaid limited-time menu will be available starting October 19. If you want to make dining reservations, be sure to visit the Walt Disney World Resort website or download the My Disney Experience mobile app.
And last, but certainly not least, there will be a new kiosk coming to the Italy pavilion in World Showcase. This new kiosk will be run by Patina Restaurant Group and is going to replace the current gelato cart.
This new Italian kiosk will serve 12 different types of gelato and sorbet, including both gluten-free and plant-based options!
