Festivals are what make Epcot such a unique and fun park to visit year-round, and the International Food & Wine festival is one of our favorite events of the year. This year’s festival is bringing 87 days of happiness and delicious food to every Epcot guest, and we’re so excited to share what Disney has in store.
At the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which begins on August 29, guests can encounter some amazing celebrity chefs. Here are the celebrity chefs who are making their first-ever Food & Wine Festival debut:
- Restauranteur Fabio Viviani will visit on September 15
- Food Network star and cookbook author Aarti Sequeira will visit on November 17
- Celebrity chef and author of “Life is a Party” (and husband of Neil Patrick Harris) David Burtka will visit on October 13
Guests can also sign up to experience Sunday Brunch with the Chef, a must-do event for any foodie. This year, several chefs will appear at the event, including Jamie Deen (September 1), Carla Hall (September 8), Richard Blais (September 22), Robert Irvine (September 29), and Graham Elliot (November 10). Disney recommends making advanced reservations for Sunday Brunch with a Chef, so visit the official website to plan ahead so you won’t miss out.
Fun activities for the whole family are also returning this year. Kids can enjoy candy sushi making in The Land pavilion, where, for a small fee, families are paired with a Disney chef for a chance to roll sweet sushi treats. This experience is offered twice a day, so you can make a reservation online or stop by to check availability. Additionally, Disney fans of all ages can enjoy the delicious chocolate creations in The Land at The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. All throughout the festival, Ghirardelli will be creating delicious desserts available for purchase. How awesome is that?
Many Epcot guests look forward to the Eat to the Beat Concert Series every year, and this year’s festival, some newcomers are joining the Eat to the Beat lineup. Along with previously announced artists, newcomer India (“Mi Mayor Venganza”) will make her Epcot concert series debut October 5 and 6. Taylor Dayne (“Tell it to My Heart”) returns October 3 and 4, and Kenny G (“Songbird”) is back October 14 and 15. Check out the full lineup of artists performing in the concert series here.
Don’t forget that some amazing new merchandise featuring Chef Minnie, Chef Mickey, and Remy of “Ratatouille” will be available for purchase at the festival this year. Check back on Inside the Magic for more details at a later date!
From concerts to celebrity chefs, there are plenty of reasons to visit Walt Disney World for the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. We can’t wait to visit ourselves!
