If you were hoping to experience Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure this fall, it may be time to make your plans sooner rather than later.

Demand for Disneyland Resort’s signature Halloween event continues to surge, with several party nights already reaching capacity just days after tickets became available. What started with two sold-out dates has now expanded significantly, showing that fans are once again eager to secure their place at one of Disney’s most popular seasonal celebrations.
The growing list of unavailable dates also reflects a familiar trend. Weekend parties consistently disappear first, leaving guests with fewer opportunities as Halloween season draws closer.
Six Oogie Boogie Bash Dates Have Already Sold Out
Disneyland Resort has now sold out six separate nights for the 2026 edition of Oogie Boogie Bash.
Halloween night, October 31, was among the first dates to disappear, which comes as little surprise considering it has historically been one of the most sought-after tickets each year. October 11 also sold out shortly after tickets went on sale.
Since then, demand has continued to build. Four additional dates have now reached capacity:
- Sunday, August 23
- Sunday, September 6
- Sunday, October 4
- Sunday, October 18
With those additions, a total of six event nights are officially unavailable. Aside from Halloween itself, every sold-out party so far falls on a Sunday, reinforcing the popularity of the event’s only regularly scheduled weekend offering.
For many guests, Sunday events are easier to work into travel plans, especially for families looking to maximize a weekend getaway without taking additional days off from school or work.
Plenty of Dates Remain — For Now
Although six nights have already filled up, there are still numerous opportunities for guests hoping to attend.
Most Tuesday and Thursday events throughout August and September continue to have availability, with the lowest-priced tickets beginning at $139.

As Halloween draws closer, ticket prices increase. October parties range from $169 to $189 depending on the night, reflecting the event’s increasing popularity later in the season.
Current remaining dates include:
August
- August 18
- August 20
- August 25
- August 27
- August 30
September
- September 1
- September 3
- September 8
- September 10
- September 13
- September 15
- September 17
- September 20
- September 22
- September 24
- September 27 (D23-exclusive night)
- September 29
October
- October 1
- October 6
- October 8
- October 13
- October 15
- October 20
- October 22
- October 25
- October 27
- October 29
Of those remaining options, late October dates could become the next to disappear if demand follows the same pattern seen in previous years.
Halloween Remains One of Disney’s Biggest Seasonal Draws
Oogie Boogie Bash has evolved into one of the premier Halloween events at any Disney destination.
Unlike regular admission to Disney California Adventure, the separately ticketed celebration offers exclusive entertainment, specialty food and beverages, unique merchandise, character encounters, and themed experiences that can only be found during party nights.

The event also allows guests to enter Disney California Adventure several hours before the official festivities begin, giving them additional time to experience attractions before the party officially starts.
Villains remain the centerpiece of the celebration, with immersive treat trails featuring Disney antagonists interacting directly with guests. Rather than simply handing out candy, these walkthrough experiences combine live performances, themed lighting, music, and storytelling to create memorable encounters throughout the park.
For many visitors, those villain experiences have become just as popular as the candy itself.
A Major Entertainment Change Is Coming This Year
While much of the event remains familiar, returning guests will notice one significant difference in 2026.
The Frightfully Fun Parade will not be performed during this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash because of ongoing construction projects inside Disney California Adventure.
The parade has long been considered one of the event’s signature offerings, drawing large crowds along the parade route with appearances from Disney villains, the Headless Horseman, Mickey and friends in Halloween costumes, and numerous other fan-favorite characters.
Instead of the parade, Disney is introducing a Haunted Mansion-themed street party.
While Disney has not positioned the new experience as a direct replacement, it will serve as the event’s primary nighttime entertainment offering while construction impacts the traditional parade route.
Many longtime attendees will undoubtedly be curious to see exactly how the new offering compares once party season begins.
Tickets Could Continue Disappearing Quickly
The latest wave of sell-outs suggests that guests interested in attending shouldn’t wait too long before making a purchase.
Historically, the closer the calendar moves toward Halloween, the faster remaining dates disappear. October weekends and the final week leading into Halloween have often become some of the hardest tickets to obtain.

Even though many weekday parties remain available today, that could change rapidly as families finalize fall vacation plans and locals begin choosing their preferred event nights.
The remaining Tuesday and Thursday parties currently provide the greatest flexibility, especially for guests looking for lower-priced admission.
Another Strong Year for Disney’s Halloween Event
The continuing sell-outs reinforce just how popular Oogie Boogie Bash has become.
Even with premium ticket prices reaching as high as $189 later in the season, demand remains exceptionally strong, with multiple party nights already unavailable months before Halloween arrives.
That enthusiasm speaks to the event’s growing reputation among Disney fans. Between exclusive entertainment, villain-themed experiences, trick-or-treating throughout the park, seasonal food offerings, and limited-time merchandise, many guests now consider Oogie Boogie Bash a tradition rather than simply another special event.
With six nights already sold out and Halloween still months away, the remaining tickets may not stay available for long. Guests hoping to celebrate the spooky season inside Disney California Adventure may want to secure their preferred date before another wave of sell-outs leaves even fewer options.
