Controversial Director Attends Disney Park
The legal dispute began in December 2024 when Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging that Baldoni created a hostile work environment during the filming of their movie, It Ends With Us. She claimed that Baldoni’s behavior included making inappropriate comments and creating a toxic atmosphere on set.

In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, accusing them of extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy. He alleged that Lively had orchestrated a smear campaign to damage his reputation and career.
However, in June 2025, a federal judge dismissed Baldoni’s lawsuit, ruling that Lively’s statements were legally protected and that Baldoni had failed to provide sufficient evidence to support his claims. The judge also dismissed Baldoni’s separate $250 million defamation suit against The New York Times, which had published an article detailing Lively’s allegations.
