Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) is almost upon us. With only five months to go until its theatrical release, anticipation is reaching fever pitch.
By the end of 2024, Universal Pictures had already released a lengthy synopsis and the full cast line-up for the film, but fans were left scratching their heads as to why a trailer, or even a small teaser, had yet to be released online. Had dinosaurs eaten the marketing team?
The film, billed as the start of a “new Jurassic era,” is directed by Gareth Edwards, best known for 2014’s Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and written by David Koepp, who penned the scripts for Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).

Despite a few somewhat revealing interviews, the creative team, which also includes producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley (the Jurassic World trilogy), has been pretty tight-lipped about the project, leaving fans in the dark about what to expect.
But, on Monday, we were all thrilled when the first clip from Jurassic World Rebirth dropped, which shows Scarlett Johansson’s covert ops expert Zora Bennett and Jonathan Bailey’s paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis in the long grass near an unseen dinosaur.
The video was followed shortly after by a second, in which Zora and Mahershala Ali’s Duncan Kincaid are facing off against a mysterious creature in the dark with nothing but a red flare. The clip’s arrival coincided with an extensive look at the film with Vanity Fair.

But things go awry when Zora’s team encounters a shipwrecked civilian family on a mysterious, dinosaur-inhabited jungle island in South America, where a “sinister, shocking” secret that’s been kept hidden from the world for decades awaits them.
The exclusive deep-dive from Vanity Fair has given fans plenty to chew on while they wait for the trailer, revealing the nature of the mysterious third InGen island, and the truth behind the much-debated “shocking” twist mentioned in the film’s official synopsis.
