When it comes to costars, it’s all about chemistry. Having a lot of natural chemistry can make a great television show or movie that much better. On the flip side, costars who do not get along can sink a movie and ruin its potential. But sometimes, there are costars who don’t like each other, but they do such a good job of hiding it, that they make it work.
For one Disney star, his costar has just revealed that she never really liked him, despite what other people had to say. And now that he is making headlines for all the wrong things, she is telling him off for good.

In 2010, actor Zachary Levi stormed onto the Disney scene when he provided the voice for Flynn Rider in the hit animated film Tangled. He reprised the role several times over the years, also starring in Tangled Ever After (2012), Tangled: Before Ever After (2017), and the series Tangled: Short Cuts and Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.
For years, fans adored Zachary Levi, but things took a turn over this past Presidential election season.

Just weeks before Americans headed to the polls to choose between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Levi came out and said that he supported the controversial former President. He said that he was raised as a conservative Christian and, even though he originally supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr, he was now supporting Trump.
The backlash against Levi was swift and unrelenting. Fans were shocked that the actor would support someone who had been convicted of nearly two dozen felonies and had admitted to sexually assaulting women.
While announcing his endorsement of the former President, Levi said that he was potentially committing “career suicide.” He was called out for that comment by Whoopi Goldberg, who named multiple conservative actors who still had successful careers.

Since then, Levi has continued his journey on the controversy train and has angered more than just those who used to be his fans.
In late October, the Chuck star went on a rant where he falsely claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine killed his friend, Broadway star Gavin Creel. In reality, Creel died of a rare and aggressive form of sarcoma, a cancer that affects the bones and soft tissue. Levi said that Creel was healthy and that the “turbo cancer” came out of nowhere after Creel was vaccinated.
Levi received even more backlash for his false claims than he did for his endorsement of Donald Trump. And now, one of his Broadway costars is telling the truth about their time together on stage, and she is not holding back.

Actress Laura Benanti starred alongside both Zachary Levi and Gavin Creel in the award-winning Broadway show, She Loves Me. And, while she was told what a great guy Levi was, Benanti’s experience was quite the opposite.
In a recent interview on That’s a Gay Ass Podcast, Benanti revealed that she never liked Levi. She thought he was a “mansplainer” who sucked up all of the energy in the room.
“I never liked him. Everyone was like, ‘He’s so great!’ And I was like, ‘No, he’s not. He’s sucking up all the f***ing energy in this room. He wants to mansplain everybody’s part to them. He really sucked everybody in with his, like, dance party energy. Like, ‘We’re doing a dance party at half-hour.’ I was like, ‘Good luck. Have fun.’”

She further ripped into her former costar about the politicization of Creel’s death. She found the entire thing incredibly offensive and said that Levi was faking how upset he was over Mr. Creel’s death.
“To use his memory for his political agenda and to watch him try to make himself cry until he had one single tear, which he did not wipe away, I was like, ‘F**k you forever.’”
Levi has more than half a dozen future projects that are in various stages of production. Rumors have been swirling that he would return to Disney for another Tangled project, but after all of the controversy he has stirred up, there is no guarantee that Disney will want to work with him again.
