For several years now, Disneyland Resort has been hosting hard-ticketed events known as Disneyland After Dark. These nighttime events have different themes, rare character meet-and-greets, specialty fireworks shows and entertainment, and limited-time food and merchandise offerings.

The Disneyland After Dark parties have become incredibly popular, with some events selling out in a matter of hours.

Last year, Disney hosted four Disneyland After Dark events — Disney Channel Nite, Sweethearts’ Nite, Pride Nite, and Star Wars Nite.

We can now confirm that three of this past year’s After Dark events will return to The Happiest Place on Earth in 2025, and one will be replaced by a new event.

According to the recently updated Disneyland Resort websiteStar Wars Nite, Pride Nite, and Sweethearts’ Nite will return in 2025. However, Disney Channel Nite will not return.

Pride Nite, Sweethearts’ Nite, and Star Wars Nite all share the same message — “This unforgettable event has come to a close, but you can look forward to another dazzling celebration next year. Check back later for more information!”

Disney Channel Nite, on the other hand, reads, “This special salute to beloved shows has concluded. We hope you enjoyed the festivities!

Sweethearts’ Nite and Star Wars Nite have been very popular events since Disneyland After Dark began. Pride Nite was first introduced in 2023 and was immediately a hotbed of controversy. However, the event was incredibly popular, selling out in a matter of hours. Pride Nite returned in 2024 and was just as popular as it was the first time.

Disney has not announced what event will be replacing Disney Channel Nite, but they are expected to announce another themed night as well. Past Disneyland After Dark events include Villains Nite, Pixar Nite, Throwback Nite, 80s Nite, and 90s Nite.

Bringing back Pixar Nite seems unlikely since the Resort hosted Pixar Fest this past summer. The special Pixar-themed celebration included rare character meet and greets, including Bruno and Luca from Luca (2021), Ian and Barley from Onward (2020), Wade and Ember from Elemental (2023), and Russel and Dug from Up (2009).

Villains Nite was an incredibly popular event, and fans have been asking for its return. Disney could decide that 2025 would be the perfect time for its return, especially since a villain-themed land was just announced for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.

The 2024 Disneyland After Dark events were announced in early December 2023, with tickets for select events going on sale approximately a week later.

The pre-party mix-in usually begins at 6 p.m. each night, while the private events take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. each evening. No theme park reservations are needed to attend these separately ticketed events, and parking is not included.

Inside the Magic will keep readers updated as more information is released.
