The unpleasant scene occurred on Rattlesnake Rapids, a river raft attraction at Lagoon Amusement Park. Although specific details are uncertain, the incident was captured on camera, and the uncomfortable scene was evident.

An entitled parent, accompanied by three young children, presumably his sons, were trying to ride Rattlesnake Rapids at the Utah amusement park when the man decided he would leave his backpack and a bottle of water on the loading platform for the attraction, which is not permitted.

Employees likely informed the man of this restriction, who immediately responded violently, yelling at employees and expressing aggressive body language while trying to leave his bag on the boarding platform.

His children tried to bring the bag on the raft multiple times to de-escalate the situation and resume their experience. Still, the parent continued to exhibit unacceptable behavior, yelling at different employees for several minutes.

Eventually, the man took his bag and boarded the raft with his children. However, after riding, guests captured the family being escorted out of the attraction and likely getting kicked out of Lagoon Amusement Park by security personnel.

Redditor u/DrDisaster62 shared a video of the uncomfortable scene, which extended for several minutes and caused multiple theme park employees to respond to the entitled parent’s actions.

The original video blurred the children’s faces for privacy protection. However, their heartbreaking reaction to their father’s behavior is impossible to ignore. You can see the video below or click here to watch it.

@hot_spot.media shared an edited version of the video on Instagram, quickly stirring debate among viewers. One user commented, “Poor kids. You can tell dad does this all the time.” Another added, “Best of luck to his kids… they’re gonna need it.”

One user implied that the incident was not the parent’s fault, but the amusement park’s by commenting: “There should be a place to keep the bags and belongings specially children’s ride with parents big bags for essentials! I don’t think the father is the issue. The issue is the mismanagement of the park! They ruined it for everyone!”

However, another viewer pointed out that there are several locations with lockers available for all guests. “This amusement park has lockers literally everywhere so you don’t just leave your stuff anywhere,” their comment reads. The amusement park’s official website lists three locker sizes available for rent starting at $10.

Additionally, one viewer accurately pointed out that the entitled parent was causing a safety hazard for all guests and amusement park employees by trying to leave his bag unattended. Their comment reads: “Can’t leave your belongings on the floor like that, it’s a safety hazard…”

Sadly, this is not the first time entitled guests have caused a scene at their favorite amusement park.

Inside the Magic reported on a drunk parent causing a scene and threatening theme park employees at Six Flags New England after his daughter had been turned away from a roller coaster for not meeting the height requirements.

At Disneyland Resort, an entitled guest had to be chased by theme park security after shamelessly breaking the rules and ruining the experience of dozens of families.

And at Walt Disney World Resort, an entitled parent caused a scene before a meet-and-greet experience with a Disney character.
