Hersheypark is one of the oldest theme parks in North America, still standing in Pennsylvania after over 117 years. Run by the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company, the amusement park celebrates all the sweets we know and love with delightful attractions like Wildcat’s Revenge, Candymonium, Jolly Rancher Remix, Hershey’s Chocolate World, Kissing Tower, and the Great Bear roller coaster.
Hersheypark is meant to be a place for guests to come and have a great time, whether during the summer or at special seasonal events like Hersheypark Halloween or Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. However, a recent trip to the theme park proved disastrous and terrifying for guests after they were attacked by a wild animal.

Hersheypark told TMZ that this was the first animal encounter they had experienced in all its years of operation.
While raccoons appear cute and cuddly (just look at Meeko from Pocahontas), it is important to remember that they are still wild animals known for carrying rabies. If you see one anywhere, it is best to just leave it alone and let it do its thing. In fact, this remains true for any animals you’ll see at any theme park, including Walt Disney World.
